Looks like a dragoon, at least on Hraesvelgar. You can see the Gae Bolg, and he only shows up after one of the bolts of light, which was probably jump or dragonfire dive.

Hraesvelgar is in his own category, along with his brothers and sisters. the only conclusion i can draw is that the world that derplander interacts with is much different than our own.
It's probably just an interpretation of what dragoons are doing when they 'jump.' Estinien does it to an extent in the aery, and one of the dragoons during the drg job questline does it as well.



I wouldn't be too surprised if they intended Hraesvelgar to be the antagonist originally, but switched it to Nidhogg after the cinematic's development started.
