
anyone notice a sudden decrease? I was getting consistently 3-4 for the most part per favor. as of yesterday, the 10 favors I've done have giving 0-1.
Landed my best Favor yet, 12x Bladeleaf + 2x Swordleaf I didn't get enough Blue Ooids to make 2 mats![]()


Have done 10 favors this morning (5 for CWH 5 for DH) and have gotten:
26 red ooid
3 red roundstone
22 blue ooid
4 blue roundstone

I haven't tried using the favors yet, but I just wanted to check how these work. Is it that when a normal node would spawn, there's a chance of a concealed one spawning instead (or in addition)? Are you sure you have to mine out a node completely for it to count?
With normal nodes, to get them to reset, you only have to touch them, not gather anything. When I'm going for maps, I touch each node in a pair, then fly to the next pair, touch both, fly to the third pair, touch both, fly to the first pair. The first pair are now in different places than they were the first time, have a chance of having maps/hidden items they didn't have last time, and I can just repeat this until I find my map, never mining anything except the map.
In 2.x, a node would respawn if you interacted with two other unique nodes after interacting with it, so you could just dash between three. In 3.x, it looks like it's four other unique nodes, so you can dash between five (which isn't actually helpful due to grouping, so you might as well dash between all six).
Do the concealed nodes work like this too? Can you dash between nodes without mining to coerce them into spawning? Or does it work entirely differently?
If they do work like that, it explains the person who had their unharvested node overwritten - the node respawned like usual not caring that it was already spawned and partially mined.

You have to deplete the normal one for the hidden one to spawn.
They can get overwritten because each "cluster" has a hidden spawn point, if you happen to get lucky on multiples in a cluster (without emptying out the hidden between) then one is lost.

They only appear once you deplete a node. And I believe they only appear near the node that you just depleted.

i have aquired (since implementation) enough items from favors to have 20 purified cokes/15 odorless animal fats/6 violet ooids/5 swordleaf/3 dragon warts/4 blue roundstones/5 red roundstones with only 50/450 of this weeks used and 11 un-used favors.



The node spawns at a specific spot near the pair you just harvested. Each of the 3 pairs of a set of nodes has it's own hidden node location.
What I can confirm so far:
-Need to fully mine. Hidden nodes dont appear untill after you completly mined a node. This can be first or second of the pair.
-Nodes only have 1 of the basic items (IE: Green Ooid) with a very rare (~10% or less) chance to also spawn the rare item. (IE: Green stone)
-Items in a node are revealed from the start.
-+ yield skills dont work on the items in the hidden node.
-Nodes can spawn from the same pair in sequence. I can't confirm if you can get one to spawn from the first and second nodes of the pair.
But there's no reason to exclude the (pair) you had your last concealed node spawn at.
-All items can 'proc' the node, or it isnt effected by the item type. (cant confirm if it matters for spawn rates) This includes Hidden items, Crystals, and even includes just plain missing the resource you were going for.
Cant confirm if you can miss all gather attempts and still get one to spawn.
This means favor grinding is ideal for crafting equipment spiritbonding. I would suggest left side lv55 only, as the rest has a poor droprate on IV's. If you really want to have ~100% hit on the resources, can always equip the gathering chest and the rest crafting.
Other then that...spawn rates are quite random. Despite what the odd person might say it has nothing to do with route optimisal. With optimal routes ive had 7~ but also 0~ spawns. I did notice they changed nearly back to back quite frequently. Back to back + no nodes in 15 minutes suggests some pretty high range RNG.
Also in my experience botanist nodes are a bit harder to actually farm because of the way they are positioned much further from each other.
