Maybe its cause Wrath isn't a permanent effect. Most DNK have Darkside up the whole time. Wrath would be both annoying and distracting if it was up constantly. I suspect that whatever caused them to skip the Dark Flames animations was probably something not simple to fix. While I'm not really sold on the current Darkside animations, its hard to guess the difficulty in getting many of the suggestions here to work without issue.
Still some flavour animations would always be nice for all the classes. Id love to have the glowing red eyes and such what we see Berserking WARs in the Job stories have for my character, maybe while berserk is up.

The argument of "Wrath isn't permanent" is getting really, really old. A War can keep it going for quite a while if they wanted to.Maybe its cause Wrath isn't a permanent effect. It's duration isn't even relevant when it comes to whether it looks right or not when mounted or moving.

Wrath has a Duration of 30 seconds. You need to put in some effort to keep it active outside of combat. My point is you don't see WARs walking around cities with Wrath active. As I said before, Wrath would get really annoying if it was up the while moving around much or riding.
Its also ignoring my second point that the issues with the Dark Flames were probably not a something simple to fix or adjust. We have speculation at best on the technical challenges involved but it sounds pretty clear from the devs that the choice to leave it out was a technical one rather than a thematic one.

No, the choice to leave it out was due to it looking 'unnatural', which is a matter of opinion. And as I already said, duration is completely irrelevant here, because whether or not people will find it annoying is also a matter of opinion.Wrath has a Duration of 30 seconds. 'Annoying' =/= 'Unnatural'
Permanent =/= 'Unnatural'
You're bringing up something completely irrelevant to justify something completely different.

Depends on what they mean by unnatural. It could mean, the animations looked awful with it and didn't gel well. It's easy to speculate when we never have seen what the Dark Flames actually looked like.
I might point out, you were the one who brought up Wrath. Half my argument is the Wrath animation was a bad example. You would see WARs complaining all over the forums if Wrath was something that was up all the time about how it looked awful.
I love the black flames!
I am grateful for having the Darkside effect but I would like to have the black aura flame more as it makes it more matching the Dark Knight looks! ***\^o^/***

Bumpity bump bump

Back in the first page, we want the black flames !
they really should change it
