windows 10 retail question

Just a question to those running FFXIV and W10 without issues.

Are you using NVidia or AMD? As I've been hearing of problems with NVidia and W10.

I think there was a post recently saying they were testing FFXIV on W10 and they would be notifying people as to their findings about the middle of August.

After installing, it took nearly 3 hours before windows finally started identifying my video card, instead of claiming the generic driver was the best thing to use. Since then, all is groovy.

You don't have to force it to download. You can go here to get a tool that allows you to start the windows 10 download without having to do all that junk. --> https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

Also, installed it and it working perfect. Haven't had any issues with the game running

Unfortunately, it won't let me install the Windows 10 drivers even when I manually downloaded them.. ;_;

Try doing a Windows Update check and install any updates it finds, then reboot and try installing the Nivida drivers again. It worked for me that way.

So before win 10 the dx11 client would lock on zoning, but now after upgrading I have yet to see that happen. Anyone else notice that or am i imagining it. Oh and it still doesnt fully minimize grrrrrrr.

All these things have never posed a problem.
I don't believe it was windows 10 specifically that was your issue!
