Forcing players through MSQ content makes it un fun.

...I shake my head why new people are complaining about main story quests, you can finish main quests in just several hours (non stop) or probably a day or two by skipping all the cutscenes.....

Bcoz you under estimated the time needed.... ^^;
My RL friend who completed MSQ till 2.2, purchased HW for the new contents,
then he had over 100quests and spent over 30hrs non stop skipping everything.

I am pretty sure, a lot of ppl here don't know how the feeling when someone just bought the expansion for new contents.

Why should the game, a final fantasy known for its story, change simply because your friend didn't do his research before a purchase. it was know MONTHS prior to the release that the MSQ would need to be completed. This thread is nothing but entitled whining because there is too much rpg in thier mmorpg. It is Final fantasy. Accept that story based rpg is the baseline of the series for DECADES. If that is not your thing. Im sorry to here that and wish you best with your next game.

As a fan of this game, I hope everyone especially those not play a lot on this game will still enjoy this game.
I just said I agree it is "un fun" as the OP subject and provided what I have seen how it is unfun to some players.

Btw, do your Final Fantasy only means ARR?
HW is an expansion, how to implement this expansion is not relevant to Final Fantasy series itself.
For example they can make an expansion which is another story therefore I don't agree with your statement.
