Now when a player reaches 60, he unlocks Law and he needs grind Law before he can do Alex...
i think the design just gate fresh 60 from Alex. make sure they have grinded a while (regardless they are rich or not) before doing Alex ^^;
I dont mind putting some level of grind in before alex to get geared up. My only point is that the spirit of the ilvl restrictions was to keep undergeared people from leaping ahead in content on the backs of geared players (at least thats what I gather with the initial post about it). Sadly, though as a Dragoon wearing Yasha Earring for example, is 35 str 20 chr 29 acc.. and is ilvl 170. My crafted earrings are 31 str 23 det 24 chr and 17 acc, yet only ilvl 150. My reasoning for i165 is still to require left side law, right side can get away with 2 law pieces, and 3 crafted pieces.
Perhaps the answer can also be that melding adds supplemental amounts to the items ilvl.
I agree iLV-req has this so mystery issue and now I just feel iLV was designed to restrict new players only.
For example the WHM may even equip STR accessories to reach the iLV-req if he already has those accessories...
