    An expansion should bring a new form of endgame. ARR endgame is simply raiding instanced 8 man dungeons. HW endgame should've been something different, such as raid difficulty 24 man dungeon or made something like treasure maps the endgame (having to farm some kind of pop item which starts a difficult overworld encounter that needs a full party or alliance to complete (and is a duty so others cant help).

    No, the problem is you're comparing a 13 year old game to a 2 year old one without considering the timeline for each.

    Where the hell was Nyzule Isle in Rize of the Zilart. Was it there, No?

    Then why are you expecting it in FFXIV's FIRST expansion?

    You know what you did in RotZ? You did Sky. Maybe Dynamis in the later end of the Expansion on that. After that?.... *crickets* Rotate Dynamis runs maybe? How is that any different than rotating Coil or Alex runs. (Oh wait, you had to pay a million gil each time for an hourglass! There's the difference. Oh, and you had to wait in line for horrible droprates for 2 years)

    No, you had to wait 4 years for your weekly schedule you just gave me, (if you played from JP release). We've not even hit the second anniversary of ARR. Try again.

    That's your expectation and you can say that. But we're just in the expansion release adn they have the entire timeframe between how and the next expansion to meet that expectation. We were told, flat out, that we had the content on the level of a single player release game with the release of Heavensward, and that's what we got. And the question I posed five times already without an answer still remains: How are you going to expect them to keep up a new Endgame system in a Vertical Progression MMO? Or do you drop some?

    No MMO has ever changed endgame with a new expansion. MMOs ALWAYS have raiding/dungeon endgame.

    PS. There's actually a lot of different endgame in FFXIV. It just depends on how you define endgame.

    While i like certain aspects of ffxi, i've mainly wanted new experiences entirely, or some events from 1.0 that i feel can be reimplemented. People either want new activities, or prior unaddressed concerns from 2.0 dealt with,both of which aren't addressed with"more of the same".

    Wow. Fastest 180 ever.

    SE could change/expand up the end-game later in the expansion but to do it at the start is a bad idea.

    Your team is already in crunch mode pushing out a massive amount of content, expanding the size of the game world, experimenting with new gameplay features will just create more stress as it's inevitable there will be hiccups with implementation.

    Some people here seem to assume they wont add new things into HW before the next expansion

    They are going to have major patches for HW between the HW release and the next expansion and I can definitely see them easing it into really new stuff during this time rather than everything right at once at the beginning of HW. That doesnt really seem to be how they do things with this game

    no, we don't want Limbus, we don't want Dynamis, we don't want Beseiged.

    we want something that's not Expert Dungeon, 8 Man Trial, Hunts and FATEs. that's about it.

    what do we want? doesn't matter as long as it's meaningful and fairly repeatable.

    I'm sure no one's doubting that, but an expansion has just dropped, and some people feel that some of its elements are already stale, due to being extremely similar to 2.X conventions. Regardless of what they add in the future, what we got in 3.0-3.5 is what we get until 3.1. While I can understand they don't want to needlessly complicate things while dropping an expac, I don't want to feel like I'm on the same treadmill I was on before. The Heavensward story was great, the highlight of 3.0 for me, but as soon as I finished it, it was like "Whelp, back to dailies," I rolled up my sleeves and grinded some tomestones for a generic Miqo'te standing near Rowena.
