*hands cookie* Congrats! You solved the "mystery" that many people seem to fail in realizing. All we get is a steady stream of "SE wtf where is my PS3 version??? D:"I was actually just talking with a buddy of mind about this. We were talking about how with FFXI and the NA release they included RotZ. It was a very seamless and inclusive release - that is, I didn't even know it was the game plus an expansion. Would be pretty sweet if that's what they did with the PS3 release.
Translaton: SE is purposely waiting until they can bundle FFXIV with the first expansion before releasing in on PS3 so they can market it with "lots of content" to follow the same suit FFXI did.
Lots of people are just impatient and want a PS3 version NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW instead lol
Yeah it just hit me, if we already got an outline for what is scheduled in 1.20 and 1.21 in this letter it must mean that the patch 1.20 will be released not too long after 1.19, then soon to be followed with 1.21.
Not trying to get anyone's hopes up but seems about right.
If we show our continued support it just might become reality lolYeah it just hit me, if we already got an outline for what is scheduled in 1.20 and 1.21 in this letter it must mean that the patch 1.20 will be released not too long after 1.19, then soon to be followed with 1.21.

Though there are other incentives for SE as well. After 1.21 maybe start charging? If they make it before Christmas and quickly re-market FFXIV, they can get a heck of a lot of subs from Christmas gifts and finally start turning this game into a profitable project.
this will probably do way more harm then good, they will end up all leaving by the time there free month is up. specially if by chance it's a gift from others. pc lost all there subs or on hiatis till then, it won't change at 1.21If we show our continued support it just might become reality lol

Well I think they could start charging with 1.21 if they want, with the job system/quests, all the instances added, quests/missions (company and story and job related), primal fights, escorts, combat system done with, crafting system done with among other changes, I think that is enough content to start charging to fund more content development. If we show our continued support it just might become reality lol

I think so too. Some people keeps saying they shouldn't, that the game will fail again and so on. Even right now is playable, but missing content. After 1.21, the game will be more than enjoyable to play and will have tons of things to do, more so for a new player coming in.
I think if they are redesigning zones and map, why waste the time to give us a cutscene of travelling between the cities. They should add that in when they release the redesign.
