here's the thing.
Your damage come from miasma. Bio, Bio II, Ruin I/III, Your pet, Fester. Each doing a good portion of your damage
BLm's damage come mostly from fire IV. Fire IV is spammable with a potency of 504 (not counting trait and 5% enochian bonus) you take fire IV away, guess what happen

So technically it's not the mechanic that is cumbersome - because for most part it seem a ton simpler than Trance. Your primary complaint is that way too much damage is loaded onto it.
