I've just returned from a tour of Eorzea! <slams books on table> The trim seen on the Aqueduct is the same as that seen at Qarn, which is positioned near the ruins of towers in the Sagolii Desert, which are of the same construction as those in Mor Dhona near Saint Coinach's Find (confirmed to be Allagan) as part of the Labyrinth of the Ancients complex. These two resources (Qarn architecture and trim + Allagan Towers) are seen together at Cartenau Flats: Borderland Ruins - and one of said locations is caaalled...

So, we have some pretty strong evidence that the (perhaps earlier, less-technological) Allagans were responsible for Qarn-like ruins, forming a pretty solid link between the Egyptian themes seen at both Qarn and Azys Lla. Let's see how far we can take this.

Maybe it was before the rise of the allagan empire?
But did allagans worship the 12? specialy Azeyma? Perhaps all this changed when the empire was formed, beacuse of political, cultural things?

But of make sense right? Maybe the worshiped Azeyma, the god of sun, and by coincidence the sun was their strong sorce of energy

Could be! Until this thread I wouldn't have pegged Qarn as Allag, and yet here we are. Who knows where it goes from here, lol.
I'll keep digging and see if I find anything.

I can't jump right to they worshipped the Twelve, but the symbols that we use for the Twelve gods did exist in their era according to the Version 1.0 Allagan Runestones, which displayed said symbols. The weird thing is ... why would they have a symbol of Menphina and treat it as a Goddess? I've said this before - they probably don't believe in a goddess of the TWIN moons considering one of the moons in that symbol is one of their military projects. Then again, back when that symbol was created, the lesser moon wasn't an Allagan creation. I have no idea how they're going to deal with that on the dev. side.

From the Royal Allagan Sunway, to Vesper Bay ruins, to Qarn, to LotA, etc. Now we're digging around with their high-end shite. The connection that far back just hasn't been made yet.

If Azys LLa = Azyslan = Ayatlan through the ages then perhaps:

Allagan Failed Experiment = Allagfail = Lallafell? (totally joking btw)

But still I'm of the opinion that Ala(g) Mhigo is one a Allagan settlement atleast. Ultima weapon being a testament to it

EDIT: Now, I was just poking fun originally, but now I'm not so sure. I could totally see a tribe of Dunesfolk moving into the Allagan ruins and 'telephoning' the name of it's creators.

What I meaned is that maybe on the past they could worship Azeyma, but after the empire was formed ( like gearlenas ), with political opression and culture. They stoped worshipping all gods, proable maybe beacuse they found out the truth about primals, and they think that such things as gods dont exist? But if Qarn was before allag, why there is an statue with a tail?

Maybe Qarn is a much older civitisation than allag, like egiptians or sumeria. SE is representing the very first and ancient civilisations of the spoken races? Like they did with the allags, representing the Romans
Qarn could have survive all this thousand years just beacuse was on a desert and the eviroment quick most of Qarn on one piece? like the piramids?

Two explanations come to my mind. One I think is plausible, the other is darksteel foil hat territory.

The plausible one is a case of appropriation. The Allag had these symbols in their temples. Some or all of them were representative of their deities, while others could have been religious in nature but not of a distinct deity. An example in real life of the former is the theory that the Christian halo was taken from the Egyptian sun disc (especially the early representations of the halo that are a filled circle of light). I can't think of an example of the latter off the top of my head so I'll make up an example. Imagine someone looking at a mural of angels and deciding that those are individual gods in a pantheon. This explanation even works for the Allagans worshipping the Twelve. At the time they used a different symbol to represent at the very least Menphina. Sometime after knowledge of Dalamud was lost someone important decided "you know, this symbol in this ruined temple looks just like the two moons. It must be what they used to represent Menphina and her loyal hound. Let's use it as a way of getting back to the root of the worship."

Well, I hold to the fact that there were once two moons, but the smaller detached from orbit and flew off while carrying with it a slumbering race.
The vacated spot would be just right...

If there was just something to connect those events to Eorzea somehow. Maybe a legend of a certain dragoon who forsake his duties of honor for love... ;D
