I know! I try to sell everything for 99999999999999999999999999999999999Gil and no one buys it. Why won't people buy crappy white NQ stuff for max gil? Stupid undercutters!

I'll undercut whenever I think someone is being greedy, point in question, Blue cloud coral on our server was 23k each, way too much, I levelled fisher in about 2 hours then went on to catch a stack of blue cloud coral in about 90 minutes, sold them in pairs for 10k each dragging the market down to a more reasonable price. We live in a world where everyone wants everything now, it isn't real money, selling mats or gear at highly inflated prices only serves to encourage people to use Gil sellers. If, like me, you have spent time and levelled all your DoH and DoL you don't need massive amounts of Gil, those people that are levelling rely on us not to take advantage of their low level status and overcharge them.
Yesterday, I checked the prices for the Thavnairian Bustier on my server. Saw one for 2,5m gil. A few days ago it was at 15m, just lol.
This has nothing to do with undercuts. This is simply the market evolving towards its more stable state in regards to the balance between demand and supply (it's called "equilibrium").
This particular item was in very high demand, but very few people could craft it, hence the very high prices. But since the amount of Lv60 crafters is increasing as well as the materials are starting to be more easy to get, and the number of "first rich buyers" is decreasing, the price is naturally going down to find its equilibrium so crafter can still make some profit without the prices being completly bonkers.
Besides, if a crafter can still make some profit out of it by selling it at a lower price, it allow more potential buyers to come and take the item, allowing the crafter to buy some mats in return and craft some more of these.
In the end, the crafter will probably end up making more profit that way instead of waiting weeks for a very high priced item to sell.

Yes, it does. A few days ago, it was at 15m gil. The 15m Gil ones were still there, but there was also that 2,5m gil one. So it IS undercutting in an really unnecessary way with 10m gil less...
(Maybe they wanted to sell it for 12,5m gil. Who knows?)

By saying that more products entered the market, you're basically proving my point about supply and demand.
Besides, the 15m ones were probably crafted quite some time ago, with very pricy mats.
Since the prices went down on these materials, new crafts can be made at a way cheaper price. It sucks for the people who made the items early and weren't able to sell them, but that's the risk you are willing to take when going on a market for a very high cost glamour craft fresh from the expansion.

Supply goes up. Demand remains constant, Price drops. Simple economics. Just like all these "undercutter" solutions are "We need price fixings and Monopolies!"
Yeah well, I still think it is not necessary to let the price drop more than 10m gil. I agree that it has something to do with supply and demand, but I don't think you have to undercut that price so fast.
Let's say there were a few bustiers for 15m and they were sold (and I know they are very popular on my server). You craft a new one, offer it on the marketboard and nobody buys it anymore. That's fine, you decide to drop the price a little. Hell, you could even sell it for 10m. I just can't understand why you should do such a HUGE price drop within 2 days? That's just not logical, in my opinion.

If no one was buying it for 15 million... perhaps it isn't WORTH 15 million on your server?
I pay more attention to the sale history of an item, and the frequency at which it is bought, than what other people are trying to get for it. Sure, a guy might have a rare pet listed for 5 million, but if the last 5 sold for 1 million, and none of them have sold in the last week, maybe starting at 1-2 million would be a smart idea.
This is EXACTLY one of the cases where DoH absolutely IGNORE the possibilities of DoW/DoM.
NOBODY who is not a crafter/gatherer has 15m gil to spend on 1 piece of glamour! They don't even have the 10m for it. Most likely not even 5m... See what I am getting at?
People who never focused on "getting rich" will likely not have more than 5m. I am one of these people, I have just barely over 1.2m, even if I had not wasted any gil, I would be barely over 2m.
So what's the correct price if you want to sell something to DoW/DoH? Almost always at most 2m.
The economy is insanely bloated on way too many servers.
