Well, you cannot expect those few of us who's peak time to play is during those maintenance hours to not be annoyed that since expansion release every 2-3 days we cannot play. I know they choose these hours because of reasons, and I am glad they are actively sorting out their issues. I know it will not be like this for ever.
But I can still be annoyed.
What we suffer is "the curse of knowledge". For new people, most of the dungeons after level 24 is considered "intense". For us, we just don't understand why newbies do not "get the mechanic" when everything is spelled out for you right in front of your screen... For them Brayflox is HARD ("you want me to Esuna all of you? move out of the way? and cure three people???), Sunken Temple is "ZOMG WTF was that", Cutter's Cry was "intense" and Titan "baby trial" was "fck this, I swear I ran and out of the train track from hell".
Maintenance happens way too often, hence the complaints.
Why are people on this forum always trying to make posts not happen, tbh... That's the entire point of a forum.
If people are upset about something, they come here and say it - working as intended.
Not like their new complaints have displaced your posts about (whatever).
You people act like there is a limited quantity of posts possible each day, lol.
As long as maintenance keeps happening too frequently ( compared with any other game I know of ) then posts about maintenance happening too frequently will continue.
3 hours of weekly maintenance is standard in pretty much every mmo. Sometimes maintenance is skipped during weeks when there hasn't been much traffic, as was the case a few months ago before the expansion hit. And maintenance is almost always going to occur after major new content has been released, such as the content we have been getting over the last month.
Now, why they waited three days to release the god awful red script system in a separate maintenance from 3.05 is beyond me. I'm actually wondering if someone realized how terrible it was at the last second, and tried to alter it to no avail. Almost like when you're writing for school, and you realize the paper is going to be really bad, so you ask the professor for a three day extension, and yet you still turn in a stinking pile of garbage.
Red scrips were added on Thursday because they wanted that to be the reset day, It wouldn't be fair to add it on Tuesday then expect people to cap in 2 days before it resets for the first time.3 hours of weekly maintenance is standard in pretty much every mmo. So what is the normal day/time for maintenance? I just came back and so far it's been more than once a week so I'm a bit confused.
