2.0 launched on late august and the 2.1 patch was on december I think. We got 3.0 on late july so november is not a stretch.

They were also far off the mark with their 2.0 launch estimation iirc. Pretty sure 3.0 was slated to release much earlier too. Their 'smaller' 3 month updates have usually been on time but yeah.

Just to mention 3.0 was not released in late July. Heavensward release was 3.0. Look at lodestone it even show 3.0 was Heavensward release. So to make my point if you can count July August September is 3 months which is when I believe 3.1 will be released. Oh not to mention just saying it was 3.05 that was released in late July not 3.0 again just sayin.

If you have the hive weapon then it's probably fine. But with 180 you're gonna have a hard time when all the DPS classes have upgraded to 200. Personally I'm going for the sword asap if just to make my own life easier.

I can see waiting it out for the relic if you're not though.

If you progress Alex savage, then definitely weapon, if not.. then.. whatever you like, most probably chest and legs.

Gonna go with what half the people said, if your progressing Savage then everyone in your group with a few exceptions (Healers) should go for the weapon (even if it has parry -_-). If not progressing Savage then spend them how you like! Simple as.

Last I checked, secondaries are still completely dwarfed by MND and minuscule compared to WD.
They've only gotten lesser in HW, which means the secondaries shouldn't be able to sway any decision on that.

Unless there are some new stat weights. Haven't really checked recently.

weapon first no contest here at all. anyone who doesnt get weapon first gimps themselfs for nearly no reason. atleast if youre progressing. maybe except healers.

for the release of 3.1 yes the new relic comes and will likely be i210 aswell. the 3.1 tower raid wont contain the weapon upgrade right at release. remember wod. it was added about 6-8 weeks AFTER WOD launched. which will probaly happen again. also 3.1 is special. i expect it to be longer than 3 months because 2.1 was longer than 3 months ASWELL if you look back. and since heavensward contained more content then a 2.6 patch would have the devs maybe will take more time to finish it then people think. personally i dont expect 3.1 until first week of october.

thats over 2 months were your eso weapon will probaly be your BEST weapon if you are not able to clear a4 savage up to 8 times till then to stop RNG from fucking you over on random loot. thats 8 weeks alone. so over 99% of players wont have savage weapon or eso upgrade till 3.1 probaly so getting i200 basicly in 8 days from now IS THE BEST CHOICE by far. next best choice beeing chest piece since they drop from A4 aswell for all classes this time.

also nobody knows how long and rng heavy new relic quest will be. could be weekly capped aswell and take over a month to finish. another month were your eso weapon helps you.

some people just think eso gear will be replaced soon aswell. it wont guys.
also you can probaly get i200 armor from new 24 raid in 3.1 while you probaly wont get weapons from there like before.

Technically, if you're looking to get the most stats in the shortest amount of time, wouldn't it make sense to get a Belt or Accessory this week first?

Since weapons are 990 tomes, you have to stretch into a 3rd week. Three weeks of tomes = 1350 tomes. 1350-990 = 360 tomes. So you have 360 to spare in the 3 weeks of grind. Not enough for a head or feet piece, but I think 360 is enough for an accessory/belt, isn't it?
