I just want to add that Ravana's line "TAKE WING, YE SOULS OF WAR!" is one of my favorites in all of the battles from HW.

i'm hard of hearing and when i first herd it i thought he said 'Take wings you son of a whore' and i wanted to punch him harder XD
but all of ravana's lines are really goodand like mhikail said the dance to the song of raging steel is the best line with bloody fullers.

Sometimes you just got to have Some fun

Gaius: YAARRRRRRRGH!
Gaius: YAARRRRRRRGH!
Gaius: YAARRRRRRRGH!
Gaius: YAARRRRRRRGH!
If anything one thing I that DON'T wish to get is groans and voices when the boss gets hurt everytime.
I mean WoW had a time where it become so ridiculous that you'd WISH they repeated the same line over and over. The name Paletress might make chuckle some of you.
On the other hand, Bronjahm was pretty awesome when you attacked him. And it was the only fight I recall where the music was different than the normal.
"You have meddled ENOUGH!"
Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road

Can you imagine if they made Garuda's laugh louder?
Had I not adjusted my audio settings I would not have know she and/or sisters laughed in combat

I wonder if it would have been more intense if King Thordan's fight had more VA. If it's there I do not hear it. Only VA I hear is towards the end when they cast Ultimate End.

Phase changes are fine. Voicing a standard attack in the normal rotation is not.
2.x did fine without much audio telegraphing, HW went off the deep end and entered the realm of cheese and repetitiveness.
At least they aren't like this guy:
