    allow players to chose a side in the MSQ and have World of Warcraft inspired pvp with Frontline-ish functions

    it's lore friendly, allows for advanced story telling (can still be on rails), and gives players (at least) the feeling of being in control of their character's destiny.

    If they would remove duty finder server restrictions for pvp..

    as i know the duty finder for PVP just searchs for players on your server/datacentre wheras for pvm content there are no limitations and searches worldwide.. isnt it like that? i think much more that this is the bigger deal than just having GC restrictions.

    As if the Final Fantasy Online series arent already poisoned enough by shitty WoW features..

    if you ask me the best would be a seperate openworld pvp region with a keep to raid on in specific time frames... no waiting queues.. problem solved. im sick of this instanced bullshit crappiness.. playrounds, waiting queues, too long queues.. etc.. WoW had overdone this quiet much.
    i came from Dark Age of Camelot, where it had 3 factions and 3 frontline openworld regions just for PVP and which have been seperated from PVM.. and the PVP system in DAOC was the best about the whole game.

    btw. this once was a concept art of FFXIV PVP before ARR was even in beta:


    one keep, siege weapons, many players..
    i dont want to play capture the flag in playrounds. i want to conquer keeps and to fight a war. but wont happen since FFXIV became a boring WoW clone.

    So... new PVP mode has been out 3 days, and plenty of people I know want to play but they're just sitting in queue wasting their valuable end-of-work-week free time. Like I was a little while ago until I gave up and quit. Brand new content that lots of people want to play, and they can't do it because the stupid GC restriction won't let a match start for people within a reasonable timeframe. And I wouldn't call 20-30 minutes 'reasonable' when you're talking about sitting around in a video game waiting on the game you're actually trying to play vs. the waiting game to get into it. Sometimes queues have been ok this week but you have to remember this is 3 day old content at its peak when it comes to demand, and it will only get worse. People queueing up don't fit into 9 convenient groups of 8 balanced evenly across all 3 GC's and so of course when every match starts there are going to be people left out when otherwise they could have been playing- which is what we bought the game and pay a monthly subscription to actually be able to do.

    Would like to see a link with SE stating they are opposing PvP players because they won't change their idea on what PvP is going to be in a game where PvP is a weak idea to begin with.

    Just give us the option to queue without being GC locked. FFS, WoW is making it to where faction doesn't matter anymore.

    You can casually mention that the battles are happening, but when story gets in the way of player happiness, story takes a backseat.

    PvP doesn't HAVE to be weak. That is the whole point. The could even use existing assets to expand PvP. Toss some nodes around the original frontlines map, BAM, 2 maps for secure. Take Ul'dah and instance a section. Bam, street fight mode. I realize there is more to it then that, but it CAN'T be more effort then making three new dungeons, 4 raid turns, and a pile of main story every major patch. Give us a patch with 2 new dungeons and real PvP improvements?
