Under the unforgiving Thanalan sun lie the ruins of an ancient temple half-devoured by the shifting sands of a timeless desert. Though used by ancient Belah'dians as a place to worship the sun goddess, Azeyma, the massive underground structure appears to be far older than this Sixth Astral Era civilization. That, however, did not deter Belah'dian sultans from each adding their own chambers to the original construct in a bid to achieve immortality through creation. In the subsequent years since the fall of Belah'dia, many an adventurer has sought to explore the temple's mysteries and perhaps return with the treasure of a lost era... only to fall victim to one of the complex traps set to prevent that very thing from happening

Makes you wonder if Qarn might have been founded by Allagan survivors?
They share the same ancient egyptian theme, deal with the void/void sent, roughly the same architecture
Ok my mistake but now there is a mistery here, The azeyma worship ( symbols, etc ) was bringed by them or was already on Qarn?
If not that would explain they similitude with the ruins on Azys la, but if not. Im still inclined that may have being a possible miqote civilisation that falled after meracya was conquer by the allags.
I was under the impression the Belah'dians used it as temple to Azeyma, though the structure was most likely originally built by the Mhachi culture as a tomb.
This is going to be pretty far out there butwhen finishing a side quest in the north-eastern quadrant that involved hunting chimeric creations as part of a hunt lab attendants did, the cube giving the quest ended the with the quest text that said something along the lines of "Next weeks hunt will be <buzz> and three Miqo'te <buzz>". I'm kicking myself for not writing down exactly what the quest text was but it raises some potentially interesting possibilities. After all Miqo'te are human with animal characteristics and we see Limia in the same zone so clearly crossing animals with humanoids was something the Allag did. Just to clarify, this entire zone was a area dedicated to research and development of chimeric creatures.
Basically what if Miqo'te were created on Azys Illa as a successful and stable chimeric race to be used as a servant race. The creations there were for civilian use as well as military. They could have been exported to Meracydia to serve Allag in the region prior to the collapse.
It would also go a huge way to explaining a certain Miqo'te Male from the Crystal Tower questline.
If anyone could clarify the exact quest text it would be awesome. Its the node quest giver closest to the Teleportation pad to the third island.

Im inclined to believe that non of the playable races were created by the allags.
Is nobody here going to point out that the Adjudicator statues all have upward-pointing ears and rather distinguished tails? Probably weren't made in the image of a Lalafell, Hyur, Elezen, Roegadyn, or Au Ra...
Well lets take a quick thinking guys. The miqotes arrived to Eorzea during the 5th umbral era. While all the orther races discovered magic and were starting to make their civilisation ( amapoar, Nym, etc )
What were doing the miqotes on those times? But if they really make Qarn. what force them to become hunter tribes again? The 6th umbral? Cant be, someone would have known by then. But yes is weird, the adjudicator has a tail and human face, but pitty, his has a crwon and doesnt let us see if he has cat ears or not xD
