I do not think MCH need to reach 1k.
In my group I do around 1200~1300 dps as a dragoon and our bard do around 950 DPS and we clear Faust.

I'm 186 and have hive musketoon, and my highest on faust was just over 1k, but avg 950-980. I am struggling with lining up my CD's, as far as when to use them and when not to use them. The shots fired thread is so long now, it's hard to pick out all the little gems of individual posts now...From what I've gathered and theory crafted for myself, you can get two reloads for every hypercharge, but wildfire doesn't line up that way, so its better to use reload at hypercharge together like normal at the start of a fight, then use reload ASAP when it comes back off CD, and when it's up again, hypercharge will be ready and use wildfire at that time. Is this correct? What kind of 'rules' or 'if/or' questions are other MCH using as far as judging when to sit on a CD and when to use it? I do know to only use wildfire and rapid fire together, and I always have B4B and Hawks eye up for it as well, so I at least always keep those 4 together. But the reload issue is the one I'm still working out.
So I keep seeing that MCH and BRD can hit the 1k dps give or take at pretty much the max ilvl. My question is what does a DRG/MNK/NIN/SMN/BLM hit in dps at the same ilvl?
I dunno exactly. But I'm ilv183 doing 1250 dps as dragoon. I think ninja is the lowest dps beteween the melees and monk is the middle-term.
At ilv190 I will do around 1350 at minimum.
Cool thanks for the info. Would be nice if all dps had the ability to output the same dps within like a 50point spread. That would be some amazing class balance. That way there would be no problem playing what you truly love and not "having" to feel like you need to play DRG or something to do "max" dps. One can dream i guess. I main BRD right now but I feel like the job is headed in a direction im not liking and looking to switch to a different dps maybe.
Faust can be cleared with BRD + MCH and no Dragoon, did it just a little while ago. As MCH it should not be too scary to beat the Faust check.
And why is that impossible? I know cooldown management and spamming 1 is hard... i165 with ravana weapon of course. if that matters.
I'm getting 1.2k at my ilevel now. I dont know why everyone thinks its impossible.
i should note i dont use a dragoon for dummy parses.
1.3k should be really easy in faust because of its short duration, too. I'll do a video when I get back of my opener/rotation and whatnot. Just havent had the time to do it, really.

This is just not true, and I don't understand why you keep spreading misinformation across different threads. You keep mentioning this i165 1200 dps on a dummy no DRG involved. How about posting some proof? And why is that impossible? I know cooldown management and spamming 1 is hard... i165 with ravana weapon of course. if that matters.

http://gyazo.com/e8aeee02b74b8a3c82efcc2a69f96b75 i167 from the other mch thread. i was over 1k at 3:00 so in this gear I'd still be over 1k in faust
man. this game is hard. i should go play an easier one like runescape or something.
