    Why we still can't parry/evade magical attacks?

    Edit: Meant to say block, not evade.

    Has there been any feedback from the devs if they're doing anything about this?

    It was an annoyance before, but with the introduction of DRK, the issue has been magnified.

    Now this doesn't only affect DRKs. PLDs and WARs also suffer from having skills that are useless against magic-only enemies.

    Would allowing magical attacks to be parried/blocked be a bad/good thing?

    I feel that it has almost no reason to be there.

    I feel that it has almost no reason to be there.
    I see absolutly no reason why spells should not be able to be blocked/parried since the shield/weapon is the in the way off the spell... it would be deflecting the brunt of the damage.

    Because neither the classes/jobs or the enemies are designed around it and you would break stuff left and right?

    Because DRK is designed at mitigating magic damage and PLD is designed to mitigate physical damage. Make magic blockable with shields and PLD wins at everything (parry is much rarer proc than shield block).

    Would be cool for dark to have a cooldown that allows him to parry/block/evade magic for a while.

    They do and its called Dark Mind. It reduces magic damage taken by 15%(30%) for 10s with a 60s cooldown

    and that is why I think DRK+ PLD is a nice tank pair to have in a group. I have been in a couple of dungeons with a drk while playing with my pld and it was cool.

    Not just Elemental resistance, let's see all the resistances actually matter. Holy crap, we might even create some scope for horizontal gearing with melded gear that enhances resistances against various things....a resist heavy set for field work anyone?
