Which would you say is the simplest dps?

Still too much for me to bare. The perfect spot to hit an opponent in a realistic manner is the back. Why dance around like a clown ?Ninja is nowhere near as bad with its positionals as DRG is.
I just don't support that, and given now all melee are like that now, this means this game is restricted to ranged for me. Whoope-doo ...
Hang on a minute. You only have two positionals as a Ninja.
And both of them, are at the back.
Aeolian Edge = Back
Trick Attack = Back
Oh, and Sneak Attack which is front. Which has a 60 sec cd, requires a set up, and shares cd with Trick Attack.
Are you confusing Ninja with Monk?
I personally enjoy the Monks positionals. It just feels good and fast paced to '' dance around ''.
I prefer Casters in most MMOs, but I really like what they've done with melee in a Realm Reborn. Not so much with Casters sadly. I think that Casters feel a bit clunky in comparison to other MMOs :/.
I dunno, punching someone at the side like Snap Punch is pretty damn efficent :P. I think it makes total sense why a Monk would '' dance around ''.

Ninja has 4 positionals.
Aeolian Edge - Back
Trick Attack - Back
Armor Crush - Side
Sneak Attack - Front

Go monk. One of the highest dps (probably still the highest in raids) in the game with great raid utility. Mantra and Dragon Kick are staples in any serious prog group. I main warrior but my dps alt is a mnk and its by far the most flexible dps in terms of damage, positional, and play style, which I love. I'f you played monk in ARR the rotation is the same except the opener has been altered slightly but other than that we got a lot of ogcd moves that are easy to input so learning mnk at 60 is not that much different than at 50.
Sneak Attack/Trick Attack should really only count as 1 since you are only regularly using one (Trick Attack unless you can literally never hit the back and won't die going to the front). Semantics, I know!
MNK and DRG are functionally equivalent as far as damage goes, but I found MNK to take more time to get back up to speed once you have to disconnect. DRG's the more forgiving of the two when you don't have the luxury of standing there whaling on a dummy, since BOTD lasts a long-ass time compared to GL, and you can ride out the window for your fourth hit for 8 seconds, giving you literally "as the buff expires" capability to keep BOTD up.

Ongoing mission: Tank everything on DRG. On purpose.

Ninja positionals only matter once every 30 seconds or so. You should be standing behind the mob anyways. Move to flank for armor crush and immediately move back. It's not as tough as people are making it out to be, and you're always going to want to use Trick Attack over Sneak Attack in group combat.
