    Greetings,

    We've been getting a lot of questions regarding the black flame aspect of the Darkside effect that was shown off in the job actions video and how it changed for release. The first thing to note is that the video showcased graphics and animations that were still under development. While the black flame animation looked great while standing still, it began to look very unnatural in many other instances, such as moving or while mounted, and so on. As such the dev. team decided to remove this aspect of the effect.

    But it looks especially awful now.
    Could you at least reduce the size or something?

    Make it like the lvl 50 quest. That affect is like one of the coolest in the game and looks wayyyyyyy better than the current one.

    This is all well and good, but their choice of alternative graphics is ugly, annoying and hurts many people's eyes (and brains). I think I can speak for most Dark Knight's when I say that we would rather have no graphic at all than what we have now.

    i want a aura since i like them but i want a decent aura not what we have right now!

    You could have disabled the graphic while outside of combat. Looking at other posts and myself included, I try and turn this off when not in combat anyways. The warriors and wrath stacks and that aura is very well done. This one is just lazy.

    Why not add it back with the current effect. However make the effect LAST 10 seconds (for example) instead of "FOREVER"

    This effect is horrible.. HORRIBLE. It is obnoxious and hurts your eyes and RUINS other effects the DRK uses.

    You submitted to the Darkside, make the effect last 10 seconds. Or make it a buff I can click to remove.

    Give us options, there is obviously a problem if there is a thread that is this big.

    I am tired of every single patch and it feels like the issue is being ignored and swept under a rug. I just saw 3 darks by the marketplace with it on and its taking up the entire screen in red crap. It does NOT look cool.

    But we think it looks great. Why you didn't decide to remove Dragoons' "Blood of the Dragon" too? Because it looks exactly the same as it was promoted. And we get removed our cool effect with nothing in return. Maybe some people may find Blood of the Dragon "look very unnatural in many other instances, such as moving or while mounted, and so on" (c)tm, but it is in the game! And effect that makes us truly Dark knights is not.
