If you are a healer, you shouldn't be forced to throw dots up in a hard boss fight. Part of getting through those fights is minimizing risks. It is the DD's job to meet DPS checks. I will say, in my opinion, that using tight enrage mechanics without parsers is counterproductive. Part of the reason they got as tight as they are today is because players had access to addons.

Yoshi said the exact opposite. They are not counting healer dps into the requirements.

I have no words for how stupid that is. I used to throw out dots as a scholar on Ifrit EX when it was current content, but just because its possible doesn't mean it should be a requirement for victory.

Not this again. Actually go and read the interview. Healers have never been taken into account with dps checks. This includes Alexander Savage. They take the maximum damage from 4 dps and 2 tanks at the minimum recommended ilvl (probably i190 for A1), and subtract 15%.

That's not to say you won't need it while everyone is undergeared as they are now.

Except the quote from the interview I posted on page 3 with link said both. I'm tired of healers being told they are bad for not dps'n we don't tell you you're bad for not helping heal.
