    basically the game needs more polish, and more expansion on what is there, when they change something it suffers from the same problem, the AA non stamina system is a lot more rough than the previous one, this is to be expected, but its not really an improvement.

    If all of the systems follow this blueprint, then for now we can expect change, later, maybe improvement. But honestly the focus of the changes is to create a more standardized game, (this is what the developers said) so you can expect most change to head in this direction, if you wanted ffxiv to be more standardized, you will probably like the changes, if you wanted it to be unique, you may not like them so much. But they hinted at this in battle reform and producer letters.

    personally most of the changes they plan like automated stat progressions, the current battle systems, HQ crafting changes and so on dont excite me, but its all subjective. One thing that is for certain is that these are lateral changes, not progressive ones, that may come later though.

    I'm personally very in favour of these changes. I'm not sure how *any* of the systems removed in this list equate to depth or complexity. As others have said, 2 out of 3 are returning and could be more complex. They were simply terrible systems that needed to be changed and/or updated.

    Yeah me too, it was a good system but needed a lot of tweaks, well i hope that they bring back stat allocation soon, i would have been happy if they just made the stat allotment separated between classes, but well im confident that is for the better

    They couldn't have been fixed to be good enough to keep. We talked about these many times, the dev team had I'm sure, plenty of meeting and discussions about these and then we were even asked to vote. We all voted for the last 2 to go and as for the battle regiments, they aren't going anywhere. Battle regiments will be back once the battle system is done.

    Physical levels being the only thing that is not coming back in some form, the features in question are, in fact, being revised instead of replaced.

    please, show me the detailed discussions that took place in those meetings. i'm sure you were there since you know for a fact that they took place. the only reason for the vote to remove physical levels was made was because it was the only option in that poll that mentioned being able to allocate points in each class individually. there were ways to have that and physical levels co-exist, but it was not an option.

    The only way they could have coexisted would be if each class had their own stat allocation up to a shared physical level, which doesn't make it any less flawed, only more convenient.
    Currently, exp is based on your rank, but your stats are based on your physical level, the caps of which are based on your rank, so you would ideally be fighting things between your rank and your level, but your level goes up much slower than your rank, and blah blah blah blah blah.
    This is just about as far from intuitive as you can get.
