I was hoping for changes to noct sect as well. Lightspeed shall have a spot on my hotbar again ^_^

But but...lightspeed still got bottlenecked at recast time(.
sooo... a buff? Ewer/Spire now with refresh effect is hardly useless, it allows all roles to be less reserved about using skills, it may also allow dps to stack skillspeed(a constant complain from friend that skillspeed deplete TP too quickly)
Sorry, I was a bit unclear. I was referring only to "RR changes dont have a huge impact.". The cards definitely got buffed. Hell, I might even Spread Spire in case someone has to call for Goad.
Well, AST now has become a class which can refresh both MP and TP with a beefy 35s tick...
It's on a 150 second cooldown, and lasts for 10 seconds. Inside those ten seconds, your GCD recast time is unchanged, meaning that you can cast four, maybe five spells, and now save 25% MP on them. That's equivalent to a single free cure, every two and a half minutes. It used to be a cooldown so bad that using it actually actively made you a worse healer. Their idea to improve it is to make it technically beneficial instead of detrimental, in a way that doesn't really matter. How can you say this? Lightspeed is now a great cooldown, there is no reason not to use it, Ewer and Spire are both useful under almost all circumstances.
RR changes dont have a huge impact, and spread/shuffle is a pure awesome buff.
CU..well lets say changes couldve been better, potency buff wasnt exactly the issue with the skill.
AST still has no options for increasing their healing output, the way that a WHM can use Divine Seal or Presence of Mind, or a SCH can use Rouse and blow through Aetherflow stacks.
The card changes are nice - now there's only one terrible card, where before there were three - but in addition to buffing the cards that sucked, they needed to make some changes to the underlying mechanic of drawing and playing cards. A 30s reduction on Shuffle does not begin to scratch the surface of that.
AST was in need of the sort of overhaul that Warrior got going from 2.0 to 2.1. Instead they got a little band-aid fix that repaired maybe 2/3 of the skills that were actively terrible, while leaving the others just as bad as they were to begin with, and without adding anything that would actually make it into a strong class.
While I am disappointed at the CU change, I have to admit that I didnt want to lose the coolest channeling animations in the game, the idea of drop and forget change on CU never really did appeal to me.
Wonder what they could do to make CU a better utility..
I don't get why people are acting like we didn't get any buffs at all. What we did get is awesome. And it's not like they said, "these are the only buffs ast is getting, ever." I'm sure nocturnal sect buffs will come eventually.
