Lootmaster: The Greatest Abuse tool.

So, you are free to make your own PF and enforce greed only or N>G. You are free to join a different PF with greed only or N>G. You are free to queue with DF, which always enforced N>G. You are also free to blacklist and spread the word about untrustworthy loot masters, shouldn't be too hard?
What stops people right now from needing in a greed only party? What stops people from ignoring loot locks and just roll need on an item? Nothing and most people still adhere to the rules, in over a year of playing the game I've had one person break a rule. Not everyone in this game is out there to grief as many players as possible and they are most likely already known on their server for it and will have a hard time finding parties.

Edit: If you are that afraid of your FC/server abusing the system you might want to consider changing to a different FC/server.

I actually just experienced abuse of lootmaster for the first. Joined a shiva farm and the one player was supposedly worried about getting the shield and sword and the leader asked if they could master and everyone said they would pass the shield and sword so it wasn't needed but they did it anyway so no one left and I guess decided to trust the leader. First clear he allows the loot to be rolled on and passes the pony to his buddy so needless to say 4 or 5 people immediately left the party. I feel lootmaster should pass vote where everyone in the party has to click yes I agree to lootmaster before it can be used. Also the party finder said nothing and he put it on last minute.

That's exactly how it works. Pay more attention to the Duty pop-up next time.

When the duty pops, it says which loot rule is being used, you don't need to commence if you disagree with it. Either way, no abuse happened, you had no agreement for the pony, so lootmaster has 100% choice who gets the pony.

However, I did find a possibility for abuse when it comes to Alexander. You have no way to refuse the lootmaster's decision to pass something to you, so they can leave you with an item you did not want. Think twice before joining an Alex PF with lootmaster.

Nothing like waiting an hour for a group to fill and have the leader go "oh we are doing loot master btw" Thanks for wasting my time. This will create more problems then it solves.

When your saying the pony will be rolled on between 5 people and that you are only using lootmaster to ensure the pld weapon goes to the person who wants it is abuse. Not a huge deal he got one chance for everyone to trust it and when he didn't follow through on what he said everyone left. So I understand I stayed and chose to trust and won't happen again.

never trust anyone, first and more important rule, you will remain sane longer and enjoy the game far more. Never join PF, use DF and if nothing is avaialble in DF dont do it until it becomes available in DF. This will be like the kick option, abuse, re-abused and even if GM said they will take action, after a while there will so many demands, that they will just find a way to avoid to be involved JUST like it happened for the kick option tool. These two Tools are for people that know how to act in a society and generally are in to respect a given word or know how to use a tool of such responsability, unfortunately, this game is also inhabited by too many Young people that dont care of such pety concepts...bad Tools, bad bad bad

This tool can be helpful but then again it can be a waste of time generator (like waiting for a PF and then at the last second getting a prompt for lootmaster, "nope, and thanks for wasting my time"). However, GMs have said agreements especially clear ones can be enforced. So if you have the person saying "everyone will get to roll, except for the Paladin gear" and then people don't get to roll for the pony, you can actually report them and do it, do report them.

It's completely voluntary and you are notified before duty. If a person tried to change it on you last minute blacklist and start your own farm. I would never join a pf with loot master and if someone else decided to change it at the last minute I wouldn't play with them anymore and most people wouldn't either. It's just that simple.
