So I encountered my first case of real harrassment in the game

Hunts needs to be removed.
First of all, people don't understand what a hunt is.
It's a damn hunt. It's not everyone their cat and their great great grandma coming to join.
No where does it say, that you HAVE to wait for everyone to get the mark. It's really polite though

Oh the common thing with hunts is people either pulling early to stop other people from getting there even if they themselves are not the ones that found the mob to begin with, or pulling it so far that it resets, also commonly seen people killing B ranks just so they reset the location, its just people with too much free time and nothing to do.

On top of that, the marks die within ~5 seconds. Literally. It's hard to get two hits in before they're down.

You should come over to Midgar, we actually wait for people to get there before pulling, and we constantly shout in chat our locations of said monsters on the map, we constantly help eachother out save a few trolls and abusive players, and these are no LS but we do have a good selection of hunting parties, but again we give ample time for people to arrive cause theres no real reason not to, if your in a party 98% of the time you will get full credit/awards.

Some hours of the day it's not that nice... Or at least wasn't that nice early in the expansion...
I know at least one person that was very well known for pulling as soon as he/she/it arrived, and at some hours it was close to impossible to get there in time.
I didn't bother much with the A and S rank hunts though as you get so much for just doing the daily ones.

Getting an invite to AST is pretty easy. Its open to the entire server. Also AST has a rule. No one in AST pulls. You can get kicked if you dont follow that rule. This means its often someone outside AST that pulls. Theres been a concentrated effort to screw over AST from certain players. Its pretty sad tbh.

I don't know when I hunt irl my cat, my goat and my great great grandmother comes along with me :P Hunting is a family and friends activity and funner with more friends you got around

I'm not under the delusion that everyone should keep on waiting until the entire server has wrapped up whatever they're doing and finally made their way over to the hunt's location.

However, if I'm standing at a hunt waiting for 1 minute or 100 minutes and some yahoo arrives on the scene and immediately pulls.. that guy is a jerk, hands down. Because in the end he did absolutely zero waiting. And what he's essentially saying is that the only thing that matters is his time, and he's not willing to spend a second of it on anyone else (even though the only reason he got included in the hunt is because people waited for him).

Apparently you can actually report them, if they are doing it to be purely distruptive and other players have had the same issue then likely a GM will look into it, from my experience they will monitor or follow around the player and observe his behavior before taking action, I know hunts are designed to be somewhat competitive, however acting like a jerk or trolling isn't what was intended.
