You're better off going as a SMN, then. Level 60 BLM is an entirely new beast thanks to Enochian (second easiest Job is now a tad more complicated and heavily restrictive on movement. Like, moving at all WILL ruin your rotation). The jobs are still growing too close, yes there are small things to differentiate them but... not enough. Sadly, I did not originally want this play style, if I did, I would have gone BM or Summoner, cause.. those classes were built from the ground up like that, and not just as a tacked on thing.

You cannot please the bards, unless they out everyone else out of a job.
But then they would have to buff every other job.... because they have no place.
Ugh... the cycle.

So glad I lvled MCH over BRD first. GB flows well with the MCH skills, WM would be fine if oGCD could be used while casting.

Would you be okay with that if the nerfed DPS to compensate? because they would have to.
It feels like most bards i talk to would not, but if they do something like that to 'smooth' out the class your going to get a potency nerf that will also affect you in times when you have WM off.
We should name this forum "Final Fantasy XIV : A Whine Reborn" :^)
If the class played more coherently, then sure. We're already losing dps here and there with the fragmented oGCD weaving and lost procs.
I don't understand your complains about the oGCD skills, you can easily do 1 oGCD skill after a GCD skill, even a Bloodletter that just proced, be faster that's all.
You can call me an elitist all you want, I really don't care. But don't blame the class and try to improve, switch to another job or quit the game.
And stop all those whining thread already, that's just exhausting and any of the whiners have good arguments and just are "I can't do it, so it's broken"

Again, I don't agree with the ideas presented here. I feel that MCH and BRD really have a "Buster Shot" stance that accentuates trading off mobility for power. It's like using Darkside for DRK, you trading off one thing for additional damage, and it forces you to be more aware of what you are doing.
Yes, it means changing your gameplay for the sake of optimal damage. But Bards and MCH aren't merely damage components, they're also support components - something had to trade off for all the damage boosting.
Mobility was the number one advantage above everything else they had against other DPS, Tanks, and Mages. It simply makes sense that their damage mode would check their otherwise incredible advantage. Most evasion mechanics outright harm a Melee or Mage DPS.
I've two oppositions to the current implementation to the system, and it has nothing to do with the gameplay changes, but rather balancing out the trade-offs (more damage) and making the transition between on and off Wanders' Minuet specifically easier.
Otherwise the complaints about this matter just does not settle with me. This is a White Mage complaining that their healing is harmed while on Cleric's Stance, and saying that their job is ruined because of it. I'm sorry. I fundamentally do no agree and I feel the reaction to this is overblown. Yes, I think the system can be improved, but the idea of "Bard Mage" makes me laugh at those complaining about it because fundamentally, 'Bard' traditionally was a mage.
Otherwise, as I said before, this is more along the lines of "Buster Shot Mode" to me and I enjoy the gameplay change (Though the animation does look a bit clunky to me while playing. Can we change the color of the charge to white? Fits most the skills better.)
So to pose the bitter question - what if Dragoon had a stance that changed their gameplay dramatically but gave us boosted mode to do it in? I'd adapt, and use it - and I'd put suggestions in on how to improve it. That's not what I'm seeing here. All I'm seeing is sour grapes.

Y'know it has to be said. I main a Bard and have been since 2.1. The problems that existed seemed to be resolved with the patch that made wm a stance. I don't feel I lose out out on dps and I don't feel that it's restrictive. They could adjust some of the flow a bit but otherwise I am happy overall with the way it plays.
