We need mid-combat gear swapping.

Armoire can hold no relevant gear, neither does the key items/crystal section of your inventory. You also can't swap gear from your inventory autimatically by changing gear sets.
But apart from that, I don't see any reason to swap gear infight in a vertical progression.

As much as I love XI: NO. I hated mid gear swapping and having to carry 1000x pieces of gear on me at one time. Plus, the lack of storage we have now....haha, yeah... <no thanks>

You think swapping on White Mage and Red Mage was bad? Try Bard... I have to agree with the running consensus, no. Just no. We don't have 'thousands' of slots. We have 25 per gear slot. If we're running multiple classes/Extra Jobs then that's getting used up pretty fast. And that's not considering rings where we really only have 12.5 slots (two hands, you know). Further, you have to put gear in the armoury if you want to use them, gear in your inventory is off limits in regards to gear swapping normally. No... we don't need this and Yoshida has said in the past that he, too, doesn't want people doing this either.

Maybe it does need something, but not this. This is a really pointless mechanic especially in this game where there is little to no variety in stats. It's also really annoying to carry around 5+ gear sets just to perform your job the best you can.

No, My armoury chest has maybe room for 1 more piece of gear in each slot and my inv is usually full. Unless they expand one or the other a ton then this will be a disaster.
