Q4. Even though they’re a tank, warriors can deal a lot of damage, will paladin and dark knight be able to deal a similar amount of damage?
A4. The reason warriors DPS is high is because they have a debuff where they can decrease a target’s slashing resistance.
As an off tank, dark knights can also utilize the benefits from this debuff’s effect and that will also allow them to output similar amounts of damage. Paladins are specialized in defense so their damage output is a little bit lower.
As for how warriors can output more DPS while main tanking, paladins have strong physical damage reduction and powerful actions like Hallowed Ground, dark knights have a strong magical damage reduction in Dark Mind, so these are the differences from the job designs.

My first reaction is: WHAT? is this a joke Yoshida? are you kidding me? So basically, because they have storms eye, their dps has to be 900DPS? NINJA has the SAME slashing debuff and in berserk Warriors can pull 3 Fell Cleaves, each that can crit for 9k+ and no TP cost? how balanced is Warrior? Is Warrior a DPS or a Tank? I am seriously putting my marks on that because as of right now, Dark Knight runs out of TP pretty fast - no self tp management like Warrior has and they do lower DPS compared to Warrior so of course people choose Warrior over a Dark Knight any day! Tone down the DPS of Warrior please because it's NOT in balance as of right now.
Also mentioning the fact that Warriors have high vitality and good defensive cooldowns - no excuse to make their dps way higher than a Dark Knight.

Would be more fun if they made Dark Knight a bit more powerful or more utility instead of weakening Warrior.

I feel like Warrior high dps is part of its identity, offsetting it not having as much insane damage mitigation as paladin.

While sometimes this can not be an acceptable option, I think this often feels better. I've seen it in other games and the forums generally just roll around in their buffs like little kids on christmas and the OP class just shrugs.

WAR deeps isn't that much higher than the other tanks, as mentioned it's mainly due to the slashing debuff so it's hardly enough to be nerfed and should most definitely be lower than any dps in the game atm, if it isn't than it's the dps's problem, not the warriors/tanks.
