The time while it was easy? ok, so at the start of the server when supply of crafting mats were low as fuck and raw mat prices high as fuck, was the easy time to level up a craft. And now when crafting mats are way cheaper to buy its harder to level up? Seems legit

Except we did earn it, just like every level of anything you have done. You spent time/money/etc on it and came out with an end result. Did you also tell people with relics they didn't "earn" them? I started the game about 2 months ago. I don't have the mountains upon mountains of gil that others have.

Dude I am leveling up my crafts now and they basically cost nothing to level. For example you buy rainbow cotton boll and cotton boll to make rainbow thread then take that thread and turn it into cloth. You then sell the cloth back on the market boards you just made a profit all your gil back and then some. Crafting really doesn't cost anything to level just time.

Doesn't cost crap to level it, it costs gil for the gear.

You can also send your DoL retainer to a 18 hour field exploration X to get a chance on a gathering/crafting materia III without the need to get crafting gear for spiritbounding.

Don't have one. Don't have DoL high enough to bother making a retainer of yet.

Alright. I just wanted to put this out there:

You don't make that kind of gil without either buying it, playing the market, having immensely epic RNG with rare minions, having high end crafting skills or selling your house on a high pop server.

I can't even HQ quest items my RNG is so bad.

And overmelding is what broke crafted accessories in Coil. They're why they won't make good crafted gear. Get rid of overmelding and you can have crafted gear that's a viable alternative.

SE is giving you an alternative with Scrip gear. It might not be as good as overmelded stuff but its good enough to HQ everything we have right now as long you use some HQ mats and a good rotation.

No, I think what I'm reading is "ease up on the requirements so it's more accessible to more people thus driving up the supply and crashing the prices".

Getting rid of overmelds is a good start. No one should ever have to cough up millions for gear. The only reason it costs that much is because you have to buy dozens of materia because of failed melds.
