    I do think it looks a little... plain? I mean, in terms of shape. The i100 PvP gear all had unique shapes to it (even the deer stuff for SMN and SCH, lol). Most of these new PvP sets are robes and/or very long and they end up feeling similar aside from the colors.

    Rather than comparing it to the top tier gear of last expansion, it might be best to compare this set to the i70/90 gear, those were also shared among jobs. We will likely get job specific sets when ranked PvP is out (which they've discussed in Live letters) or w/e.

    Alright, I'll compare it to the old PvP gear.

    (Sorted by different appearances)
    -> Fending (PLD, WAR)
    -> Maiming (DRG)
    -> Casting (BLM, SMN)
    -> Healing (WHM, SCH)
    -> Striking (MNK)
    -> Aiming (BRD)
    *Note that I am going with the jobs that available upon the release of these sets and pictured above.

    (Sorted by different appearances)
    -> Fending & Maiming (DRK, WAR, PLD, DRG)
    -> Casting & Healing (BLM, SMN, SCH, WHM, AST)*
    -> Striking & Scouting (MNK, NIN)
    -> Aiming (BRD, MCH)
    *There is a color difference for casting and healing, but the design is the same.

    The old sets we had 6 different sets split among the 9 jobs at the time, as opposed to what we're getting now which is 4 sets for 13 jobs.

    Don't get me wrong, I love the weapons, I love the noble design on the new PvP sets, but I find it kind of strange that we have less sets for more jobs.

    Now that you've compared it, notice how the new entry level PvP gear isn't reskins of anything we've seen while playing? Unlike the old PvP set, which is the vanyah (or whatever spelling forgive me QQ) set etc. So if anything it's a step in the right direction and is granting us more armour models to earn for glamour rather than stuff we already had access to, I suppose.

    I got to agree with that, it is a step in the right direction, just wished they did with the crafting, but nope re-skins for all the healers!!

    I personally actually really liked the re-colorings, so no complaints from me there. I really liked the bright white i90 stuff, BLMs especially popped out with white Battlemages as opposed to level 32's running around in the regular black set. When they added the crafted sets that could be dyed, they lost their uniqueness, but I remember them being really bold when they first came out.

    But that wasn't my point, my point was that we're getting less sets for more classes and 5 of the classes are wearing the same gear with only a color for variation.

    ...this is a pretty good point, yeah. It's a start.
