Please note my original response was to someone calling 2.x bard boring and for lazy people. My response was more meant to point out that there were complexities to the class. The DPS rewarded for optimal play just wasn't rewarded proportionally to the skill involved. I was by no means implying that WM isn't worth it DPS-wise.

You do have a good point on your second part. I feel this is mostly going to be a priority system. Something that increases the difficulty while learning a class, but not hard to execute once learned. I doubt it will be as difficult as consistently pulling off quad barrage, unfortunately. That was one of the most fun parts of the oGCD for me (I blame WM for its change).

I do not dislike WM because of mobility or DPS, for me it really is the play style change.

The most awkward thing to do on a BRD is use repelling shot and try to get another move off only to have the cast fail. The whole class wasn't meant for WM.

BRD isn't fun anymore. i did not choose BRD to be a caster. i don't have any other lv60 class and it will take a long time to make a new class lv60. leveling is too boring without story quests :/

Let us hope our overlords of the Sqaure Enix Clan decide to change this and other classes this upcoming Tuesday. Personally I've learned to live with WM, but hell if it's by my own choice...

this is the exact feeling im having, apart from all the mechanics or dps issues i feel the same and am in simelar position its just not fun to play anymore apart from the fact that we are fcked in so many fights now (take ravana for example we are casters that have to move thx to block mechanic) its just no bard anymore and that pisses me right off.

For me, it isn't about how much dps WM gives me, it's just basically that I played bard because of the mobility - it was fun, and really, it was the only job I liked. I dislike melee generally due to positionals, which I find annoying, not fun. And blm is just stuck in one spot. To be honest, I was so annoyed, I haven't even leveled the bard - I'm playing summoner now, but logging in less and less. I doubt we'll lose the WM mechanic, which is just sad, since the mobility was what made this class so fun for me.
