IMO:
CON will probably get both, they already have the full set of spells for blm and whm
i think thm will get time mage/ geomancer/ maybe other
arcanist will probably be blue mage / scholar
I believe Arcanist they are planning Geomancer for, being that Arcanist uses ground based traps and such. It was in an interview - not official though.
I think CON is going to be both. I know SE posted one job per class but I don't think that's going to stick. If SE has the right mindset going into this job system they will design it to be easily expandable and adding new jobs should be fairly easy. I would really like to see BLM, WHM, and RDM all come into the game with the job patch, wishful thinking huh. =/
I hope DoM will not get lock to any job
THIS. How can CON have the full line of Cure spells and not be WHM? How can CON have the full line of Elemental spells and not be BLM? THM has a full set of debuffs. My vote is RDM. I have no clue what second job SE will pull out for THM.
The only way I see THM = BLM is to 1) change the lore and 2) change the spell set.
I agree with the above posters. I dont understand why anyone would think THM would get BLM.
"omg CON has cure, that must mean they can never do damage! Healer. Thats it."
typical mmo crowd.

You also have to understand their announced plans are not "biblical" as though it were a prophecy from the mouth of god. They were obviously still considering various approaches at the time, but it's not as though they're trying to give you a riddle to solve (get it wrong and the Sphinx eats you).
Look, they're working on what would be considered "artifact armor": armor styled in with that "classic Final Fantasy job" feel. The six jobs they said they'd go with are probably the ones that are the most prepared in terms of all the trappings that go with it, including these armor designs. The plan may be to have 1 job for each class to begin with (so no one feels left out), but it doesn't necessarily mean a rigid 1:1 proportion must be enforced.
I think having WHM and BLM branches off Conjurer make perfect sense. They don't have to hold one job back because the "king can't go back on his word" or some-such nonsense. If they're ready to go with it, they can launch both right away. Don't be so sure it's an impossibility.
What I am sure about is that Conjurers would appreciate the option right away so as not to be pigeon-holed into a role they have no intention of playing (whether it's white mage or black mage).

The title should be "Wheres thief going to go?"

Have no fear! It does not seem to be common knowledge but every class will be getting more jobs later on, with some jobs eventually requiring multiple classes to unlock. For the initial introduction of the Job system, though, every class is going to unlock 1 job. This is also why I think CON would get both eventually since it is the best way to specialize both its current functions.I think CON is going to be both. I know SE posted one job per class but I don't think that's going to stick.
