Servey says, That's the only way to get Alt classes to lvl 51 or higher. Alot of people would rather grind fates than dungeons. And you always burn up your quests on your main. Drg got all my quests so to level MCH I had to dungeon crawl to lvl 50 and beyond.
It is not the speed of the content. It is the fact that we are forced to play through it. Whether it take 3 days or 3 months is irrelevant. Being forced to do the content makes it less enjoyable.
I am currently Level 60 in a mix of 170/180/190 gear. You made assumptions about my situation. Stop being so whiny and making assumptions. What does it blow your mind that someone is at "end game" and complaining about this.
Chill out. Stop with the bashing of a fellow player.
I took my time with 2.1-2.55 and loved it. However that enjoyment was lessened by the fact I was forced to play through it.
People spoil stories all the time playing new classes. It has never been an issue in any MMO. Many players would not have had an issue spoiling their story to play the new classes right away.
No. That does make players feel forced. This is why many raids in MMO's have loot limits. If you could get every piece of gear in 1 week many players would feel 'forced' to do it.
I mentioned no complaints about the style of quests. I am done with the MSQ and currently raiding. I loved the MSQ. Every piece of it. I simply had less enjoyment of it being forced through it.
You are correct. No one is actually forced. It is a Forced 'feeling'. And it makes it less enjoyable when you are forced to do certain things.
This is why in Many MMOs, and even in FFXIV, they do not let you get all of the raid gear in 1 week. This is because if you could get all of the raid gear in 1 week many players would feel forced to do it.
Then you need to work on your own self-esteem. I have yet to complete the Heavensward MSQ, while all my friends finished it more than 2 weeks ago, and are raiding Ravana Ex and Alexander for end game gear now. I am content to play at my own pace and enjoying the story.
I don't want to see you get one shotted in Ishgard >.>.
I would take the suggested abridge the story and cut the fetch line quests.
I'm not for doing the whole MSQ thing but...it's a way to level up? (shudders50to60shudders).
Even at 50, the easiest way to level up is through story. >.>
I prefer to play with my friends. It is an MMO after all.
And square could have given me the best of both worlds. Letting me play the new content and play with my friends.
With that said. I simply did not enjoy being forced to play it. I have no issue being behind my friend's in level or content. I spent a year at level 48 in 2.0 while my friends were raiding. I enjoyed other aspects of the game at the time. And had no interest in the Raid or end game content at the time.
Now square has essentially punished me for taking my time with the story.
I am currently Max level and raiding in A1-4. Just so you don't think I am still 48 and complaining about all these quests I have finished most of the things in 3.0 I want to finish. I simply would have preferred the gating not have been there. To allow me more freedom in how I wanted to play the game.
At this point Ori, just can it dude. You have no argument. No one is any more "forced" to compleat it than they were pre-expantion when the content was current.
Its like this, do the content or quit. I never made any assumption about your progress. I was calling you out for your total BS argument to my point.
You did the BS Quests, Me and Every one else at 60 did the bs quests, and everyone from level 1-59 is going to be expected to do them too.
Thats called progression. And I'll let alot of people in on a secret, 3.0's jobs are vastly harder than 2.0's and have an extreemly steep skill curve. Unless yoh have some basic understanding of the 2.0 classes you wont be able to play them acceptably.
THAT is why those classes are locked behind "The Steps of Faith" Trial-Instance. After that you can unlock them before you do anything else if yoy want.
Hey look another one of these useless threads.
on ops problem with wanting to level the new jobs threw the main story of 2.0-2.55 their in Isgaurd because their Isgaurd jobs.
Okay but this is a Final Fantasy game at the end of the day. It's an RPG. The expansion content, jobs included, are tied directly to the story. Square Enix isn't the type of company that will just hand everyone the previous level cap, because they care about their plot. Sure, WoW is 8 expansions in. Of course they'd just give people the previous level cap or whatever. But this is our first expansion. There's no reason to just hand someone fifty levels and let them bypass the entire story(which this game sort of revolves around tyvm). Then you jump in not knowing how to play your class/job, you don't have any clue about the story(and ff games are always about the story), and you get nothing out of it except instant gratification. Leveling a class/job isn't hard, and with the right people getting to 50 is simple. There's no sense in complaining about it.
