    I want to see a high movement fight, with many transitional epic phases - like in classic sRPGs final bosses "hi I'm over 12 environments, and I have 10 phases". Instead of a dungeon that is 20-40 minutes long, just a dungeon that is the boss (recovery mechanics may need to be included, some classes would run dry and useless otherwise). Trash can be included in the boss fight. As little cut scenes as possible (load those up at the end), keep the action within the game.

    You know those scenes where they fight in a room that blows through a wall landing on a train riding through a beautiful waterfall filled mountain top terrain, track breaks as you fight crashing into the ground, area turns into a wasteland that erupts as the core of the planet is exposed and they ride the left over carcass into another planet - Asura's Wrath, God of War, meets sRPG phases, meets SE fidelity. Perhaps a boss or room that you fight in causes your echo to go nuts and you emerge into visions of all the cataclysms before you as your battle scene, Memoria (FFIX), Paprika (anime), continuous contiguous explosive eye candy. Being so expensive I imagine only being an expansion sort of content as a finale, if ever. lol

    EDIT: Talia should I be scared or feel awesome we posted something similar at the same time?

    I would love to fight Anima (FFX).

    I mean with all the messed up stuff that happens in FF14 (Tam-Tara Hard anyone?) I feel the devs can have a creative way of bringing her into this game.



    I'd love a ff14 fight of this terrifying summon.

    A full on massive raid, (or series of raids if it would be too much for one run), against Sin from FFX. Three parties clearing a few bosses on a beach, then on the way to some docks, followed by getting on three separate boats, (possibly have a "number of party members = 8" check on each boat to prevent uneven splitting), at the end of the docks, where each party splits up to take on Sin out at sea......

    The mechanics for this stage of the fight would be similar to Bismark, (since it's already similar to the first Sin fight in X), in that you have to launch harpoons at Sin to pull your boat close so your party can attack. You can use the harpoons at any time, but when near Sin, adds continually spawn, (Sinscales), and target the harpoon guns unless the tanks keep aggro on them. The harpoon guns will constantly generate aggro so that tanks have to maintain what they're doing rather than the usual "hit once then ignore" method for keeping adds off objects. They will also hit hard enough that DPS will have a reason to keep the add count low instead of just hitting the boss. If the adds hit the harpoon gun for long enough then it gets temporarily disabled with increasing increments, (10s, 20s, 30s, ect), and can't be reactivated until all the adds are dead. If a party stays at range for too long, (probably somewhere between the 60s-120s mark depending on how difficult the adds are made to kill), then Sin does an instant kill attack on that party. This stage of the fight is over when Sin's HP reaches zero.....

    That would only be the mid-raid fight though. Then the players would progress through the inside of Sin, (maybe have a cutscene after the fight where Sin swallows the parties), fighting two or three bosses along the way to the second to last boss fight against Jecht, followed by one final boss fight against Yu Yevon to complete the raid. Unlike in X though, he would be a legitimate threat, summoning the extreme versions of all the primals, (including Bahamut, and possibly a few X specific ones that haven't showed up yet), to attack you, albeit with lower health, (probably around half or one third), on each one. Ideally, this final fight would be long enough that you could build up and use the level 3 LB at least three times in it alone....

    This is what I would dream of being the ultimate "boss fight" we've had raids, but while I haven't run the Coils yet, (I've only been playing for a few months, and haven't had a chance to get around to them), I have done a few turns of Alexander and, like most players, have run the Crystal Tower trilogy enough to know them like the back of my hand. I never really felt the scale in any of these though. They had big rooms and big bosses, but even on my first run through, it didn't feel like it was some grand undertaking to me. In addition to the obvious fact that it would be a huge throwback to FFX, I feel like if they handle it right, they could make a fight against Sin be a grand undertaking that makes the current raids and primal fights feel like a Sunday stroll on a Lomisian beach.....

    EDIT: In response to the two posters above me, I could easily see Anima being the final summon Yu Yevon does in my raid idea. I can't believe I forgot to include her when typing that out....

    Yes, until the barrage of Star Flare, Death, Level 5 Death, Level 4 Holy, Curse, Curaga, Berserk, Mini, Blind, Confuse, Flare, Holy, and Meteor follows in its place at unprecedented and impossible to guess levels... Especially taking into consideration the diminishing returns on interrupts/silences. But hey, at least they had that SAbs gear! :O

    A full Raid Boss where each Full Party has it's own job. Every time you play it, it can be different depending on if you are A B or C.

    Or I suppose one where you want to "Steal" the boss by doing more DPS to a Raid target. Two Tank Full Party, if My party does more DPS than yours, the Boss swings over to where we are. Presumably while we're doing less damage to the "swing" target, due to focusing on the boss, another party causes a swap, and we have to attack the swap mechanism. I have no idea WHY we'd care to get at the boss, besides it being more fun to fight the boss, but yeah. Competitive Alliance Map.
