Really SE? (The new healer PVP gear)

I actually like the sharlayan set, one of the only ones that doesn't feel weird on scholar.
I hate the valerian set.... who thought keeping hot pants for both sexes was a good idea... especially on a lala it just looks bizarre.

Sorry, but other than the healer Dreadwyrm, I cannot think of a single recent set that has a hood.

If you look at the link I included, which is the topic of this thread's discussion, nearly everything has a hood on it.

Yeah, I'm fully aware of the topic and the link you posted. Your comment sounded like you were complaining about all the hoods we have in the game. But, maybe I misunderstood you.

I personally really like the new healer PvP gear set look since I saw the concept art a few months ago. I think it has much more of a mystic/beast look (duh animal set) to it than all the bookworm style robe we get and I particularly like the hood/mask combo.

Also it's not just MNK that get the DRG set, ninja gets it too.

You guys are crazy, I think all of the new sets look totally freaking awesome. How many of you actually play PvP enough to even get to wear it? A very small amount, I assume.

Rank 45 Flames here, I have most of the sets and personally don't mind if healers get robes, they look freaking fantastic. Keep in mind that we're not Clerics and we're not some hardcore rough healer. We're White Mages, Scholars, and Astrologians. All of which are very nimble and elegant, not brunt and forceful like a Cleric would be.

We don't need healers in plate armor for there to be room for tons more variety. "Rough and ready" as a look is but one possibility among a great many. And if someone does want a rougher look, who are you to say 'no'?

As an earlier poster pointed out, a lot of the heavensward gear is reskins. It's great that you like it, but a lot of what you're liking is recycled content that was already in the game.

I never once said that I appreciated the robes that have already been recycled through. I also never said that I was saying 'no' to the other people who wanted to have gear apart from robes.That's a baseless assumption you made on your own part. What I said is that I appreciated the robes because they match the themes of the healers.

The Daystar Robes, in my opinion, looked gaudy and overbearing as hell and were simply not fashionable. Same for their bad looking felt robe counterparts. Maybe some people enjoyed them; good for them. I personally did not and that's why I'm thankful we have glamors.

Similarly, who are you to say no to the same people that are more than happy with the robes we are currently getting? Practice what you preach, and stop putting words in my mouth, please.

I apologize for misunderstanding you-- but you are doing the same thing.

I'm not saying "remove robes from the game" nor am I saying "cancel the PvP and Alex robes". They've been made, no reason to not put them in. As before, I am merely asking for variety. We have tons of white robes, we need other things instead of just variation on the same. IMO, of course ：)

But nowhere does that imply "You shouldn't have elegant white robes."
