    I actually like it better when you cleared and couldn't go back. lol. But I don't understand the issue. You wanna bring someone that cleared then you pay a price. Don't wanna pay the price then don't bring someone who cleared. Loot system is completely fine.

    I think y'all will be in for a rude awakening if you are under the impression that this "token" drop will be a 1-1 ratio for gear exchange. Saying that "if a static member misses a night then the raid can catch him up the next day" isn't how that will work most of the time, I'm sure. If the static can't shift it's normal raid day/time to accommodate that one person for the week he/she will most likely still be screwed. 7 people helping 1 person is no chests at all, so it's doubtful that the single token drop from each cleared floor will amount to that person being in the same standing as the rest of the group. Or even better, the missing person's loot will drop from chests while he/she is gone and go to a static's alt, while the person who missed will need to farm that turn for a potential 1-3 more weeks to accumulate enough tokens to get the drop they may have been able to roll on and get much earlier. Unless they drastically change the way token drops are handled in savage as opposed to normal (different token for each gear piece....really?)

    I like the "helper" system and the way raid loot works right now, don't get me wrong. If I could change one thing, I would increase the amount of tokens you need to get a piece of gear but I would make everything take the exact same token. Less clutter in your inventory, less sniping (I only need 1 more crank, pass on everything else). I guess that may lead to less runs/clears but I don't think that should be a deciding factor personally. We stopped running raids after getting our gear for the week regardless, before any of this token/helper system jazz.

    But some of y'all are using this system as an end-all to fix the problems with having to replace a person for a week and I think that point of view is optimistic at best and very jaded at its worst.

    Be glad SE has allowed players to return to previous turn.....before it was 1 clear period. You could not return to any turn.

    *Plan to gear up a FC fast, if this restriction wasn't in place*
    Step 1: Seed group of 8 gets the win, and is awarded 2 coffers. Those players may no longer lot loot.
    Step 2: 7 of those 8 are joined by a different FC member, and get the win again. That member gets to choose from loot from 2 coffers.
    Step 3: Repeat until entire FC except for the first 8 get 2 coffers. On subsequent weeks, choose a different 8 seed members so loot is distributed equitably over time.

    This is what SE is hoping to avoid, and rightly so. FCs can still do this, to a degree, but it is much, MUCH reduced, since at least four new members need to be cycled in each run, and are awarded only one chest between them.

    The weekly lot restrictions are deliberately in place to ensure that raid drops are rare and valuable, something you need to work toward over a long period of time. There was a demand to make raids re-runnable, in order to encourage veteran raiders to help newer raiders learn the content, and SE provided that - but they needed to take steps to ensure that allowing this re-running would not be exploitable.

    For people who are surprised this is the loot system for Alexander Savage you probably didnt do any coils of Bahamut.

    Thats how it has always been, nothing new. They made the hardest raid with the best gear unfarmable on purpose in order to extend the life of the content beyond a couple weeks.
    Assuming SE keeps to the same development scheme as in 2.x you will see something like
    unlimited farm of Alexander Savage with 3.2 comes out (or the 2nd hardcore raid).

    That said if you havent raided in the hardest content before, make sure you find a good static because party finder is pretty bad on most servers...
