Is someone wants to use the facepalm emote to spam on someone wiping then I have bad news for you: There are already plenty more worse emotes u could use in that situation. Faceplam would be actually a more subtle one in comparison
Having thrown emotes at myself after wiping a group is actually not bad at all - it wasn't so bad when noone bothered to write anything and emoted instead, wasn't it? And if someone verbally harrases me, I rly dgaf about some emotes they made prior to that
I will add that if you feel emotionally affected by people using "bad" emotes on you, you should probably quit online games and consult.

pretty sure the devs said they would add this like half a year ago
I do not support this.
Why, you ask? Because it's a shallow form of expression crafted for people who can't convey their frustrations in any other way besides performing stock emotions. It is on my list of pet peeves along with people saying "Really... REALLY?" and "Lol, wut". Please find other ways to express your emotions. Humanity has been blessed with faces that can contort to many different abstractions. Consider typing that your ears have shriveled to the point of atrophy upon hearing such complete nonsense. Or maybe your eyes have rolled to the back of your head so far from reading the ignorance that the exposed rods and cones became bleached by natural sunlight and has rendered you permanently blind.
The point is, get an identity.![]()
I just use /cry. Probably not viable for most races, though.
I would love this myself. However I don't know if SE will do it considering /fume and /stagger express basically the same emotion.
So I was tanking "The Aery" yesterday did about 8 runs and oh man the amount of face palm I wanted to give..... I keep dying on the fist trash pull.... First freaking trash pull! It's only 2 mob! I dodge all the Aoe and even pop cool down when I hit 50% but nope not a single heal..... Guess what was the healer doing........ Dpsing....

Welcome to FFXIV where all the "hardcore" healers focus more on DPSing than healing, no matter the situation, and if someone dies as a result, then it's the fault of anyone but them. They then teach every other healer they meet that as a healer, you should be DPSing constantly, even if said healer they meet isn't skilled enough to do so. It's all fine and dandy to DPS as a healer if you can still maintain everyone's health at at least 75%, (I say that high, because you know what guys? Sometimes stuff happens and for the DPS in particular we can drop from 100% to 10% if we get a bad line up of attacks with no way to get out of the way in time.), but the people who are good enough to do that act as though EVERY healer is good enough to do that when they make their arguments about how "healers should DPS". I've been in enough runs with healers who spend so much time attacking that they only heal the tank while everyone else is dropping right and left......So I was tanking "The Aery" yesterday did about 8 runs and oh man the amount of face palm I wanted to give..... I keep dying on the fist trash pull.... First freaking trash pull! It's only 2 mob! I dodge all the Aoe and even pop cool down when I hit 50% but nope not a single heal..... Guess what was the healer doing........ Dpsing....
Situations like that most certainly deserve a "/facepalm"......
