    /sea all job 1-50

Please, SE PLEASE implement the seek party/search for party members from FFXI.. PLEASE! It worked perfectly fine and there is no mention of improvement for forming parties.. the current system is just terrible. PLEASE just allow us to put up a search comment, put up a party flag, and search for people like you can in FFXI.

    Thank you.

pretty much what your asking about, except with more ideas and pictures....its something we al clearly agree on (over 200 likes says something) but SE doesnt like to respond to super obvious nessicary changes that everyone agrees is needed until we fill up over 100+ pages of responses (see my sig for proof)

but if you want better looking bikinis they respond the next day lmao.

Lol, I love how we have like 50 threads on this topic XD

I can't understand why SE won't just give us details on the system the have planned, assuming there is one. It's been something the community's been asking for since before release.

Just give us an outline on your planned system, explain how it works and give us an estimated release date for it. How is that so difficult?

Probably many reasons, they still learning and probably undoing a lot of server stuff, communications between server likely being an issue they are still solving, "how" could be the answer as to why no confirmed date as it could be a number of things, even down to completely remaking the server-side client.

Could also just be that they want us to concentrate on things they can get out soon.

They could at least tell us what type of system it will be and how it will work, even if it's not in the immediate future. As you can tell, their "We plan to scrap the current system and implement a new system similar to other MMOs." response does absolutely nothing to satisfy the community.

    Details are welcome.

The current system doesn't work because people don't use it. I put up recruiting all the time, and when someone actually searches and finds us, it usually works wonderfully.

It's not that hard... it's just works the opposite way that it did in FFXI. Rather than leaders searching for party members, potential members search for available parties. Just like in FFXI, if you're not finding parties, start one of your own by using the recruit option.

I'm not saying that an alternative system wouldn't be better or that the current system couldn't be radically improved... but when people simply don't use the system and instead resort to either shouting, soloing, quitting , or forming LS-only parties, it's hard to put all the blame on the system... especially since hardly anyone ever tried using it in the first place.

Umm.... if you like being harassed every time you don a mage's weapon or slap on your bow and arrows... Personally, I don't. And, honestly, someone already posted a link to a much better proposal above, which would allow you to "lfg" on multiple jobs.

For me, I'll pass on the /sea all...

The search/recruit function could be a lot better, but it also works pretty good when you actually use it. Problem is, no one uses it. Any time myself along with others have used it, it has all worked easily enough.

I think people are just use to one way of getting parties and don't want to try a different way. I bet the people at SE are sitting back reading this stuff and thinking we are nuts because the party/recruit feature actually works but no one is willing to try it.

Simply not true.. I've tried using it countless times... I've gotten exactly two people to join me through it.

The difference between the seek option in XI and the backwards way they're doing it in XIV is that in XI you have the ability to see everyone who wants to party and know there are enough people willing to form one. In XIV you can only look for existing parties or put up recruiting and hope there are people actually using the tool who want to join. I prefer it the original way over XIV's blind system, and from the adoption rate it seems like most other people do as well. It was simple and it worked just fine.
