Yuffie and cait were liked, but not as much as the main headliner characters. She and cait were just a brunt of jokes.

You know even if they couldn't bring the "Real" Tifa and Aerith they could always go the cheesy route of 2 young wandering women trying to spread their type of style and outfit all across the world and just happen to look similar to them.
