Make it happen.
Ishgard Temple Knights as a GC.
Ishgardian themed housing. (Yes I know it's coming, but I want it sooner!)
Samurai with the option to go tank or dps.
Retainers as companions.
Red mage as a melee with a rapier and no offhand.
Class hunt log for 51-60.
A chrono trigger themed world event.
Ability to queue for DF with our boco out.
Exp back in level 50 duty trash.
If I ever see minion battles I would gauge out my eyes from the failure wow brought from it.* The ability to glamour from retainers that Yoshi-P mentioned in the Q&A.
* Instanced housing with an incentive for people with personal housing to shift over to it.
* Minion Battles
* Kingdom Hearts III crossover.
* Craftable, dyeable, simple thigh high boots that work for all classes. The holiday boots work, but I'd like ones without the stars on them.
Kingdom hearts is it own game and would prob never be used in ff14 content for any event.
I like the other ideas though.
Different strokes. We have a goodly number of people in the forums that would like it.
So are Final Fantasy XIII and Dragon Quest. Both had crossovers.Kingdom hearts is it own game and would prob never be used in ff14 content for any event.
Insanity is a gradual process, don't rush it - Ford Prefect
Dragon quest is a different story. Kingdom hearts is mostly owned by Disney and license issue will be a big problem. Sora, riku, and other main characters are owned by Disney. The only thing Square has the rights of is their own FF characters. Anything beyond that is Disney rights.

Honestly? I want a crossover event with DQ that lets us get the Soul of Ramia, like in DQ8, and turn into a bird for flight. I would love even more to actually have Ramia as a mount, but for reasons I'll be equally happy to mimic DQ8.
And it has to have the theme >_>

I want to see duties that involve crafters and gatherers! One thread I participated in discussed something along the lines of FFXI's Besieged, with DoM and DoW defending a city against wave after wave of invading monsters - but in this game, including crafters and gatherers shoring up defenses and supplying overpowered temporary items to assist in the event.
Another idea might be something like FFXI's Assaults - mini-missions in which players need to accomplish any of a variety of special tasks. If I remember correctly, a couple of Assaults actually involved things like mining; similar Assaults in this game could require you bring along an actual Miner!
Whether or not you liked FFXI, Aht Urhgan had a lot of cool ideas in its endgame; it wouldn't hurt to recycle some of those here, and IMPROVE on them!
Oh, I agree that the Disney IP would be hell to get. But at least some of that content is owned by square. The other thing I'd love for square to do is to leverage IP from their various anime/manga titles. Soul eater in particular. The thing is that, unless something new for that title was coming out and they wanted to help hype it, it's never going to happen.

1. Change hunts from an open world event to something that requires pop items in the open world, delivers unique drops, and can be done with a maximum of 1 full alliance
2. Add random mechanics to the hardest level raid that forces players to adapt
3. Add extreme mode of 4 man content
4. Add Alliance raid content similar to alexander, have story mode and savage modes
5. Add a flexible DoW and DoM skill tree that lets you customize your characters abilities requiring you to have X amount of attributes in a given tree to unlock an advanced job but not limiting you to one very linear path.
6. Make open zone xp feasible
7. Add repeatable quests in each zone to help relieve some of the level up grind for 2nd 3rd etc jobs.
8. Add random treasure coffers in the world that pop under certain conditions and can only be claimed by the first person to find it.
9. add live in game events like lighting with all the cool characters from previous SE games (little by little)
-Agree with more class hunting up through 60. More ways to get alt classes to 60 in general, I say
-Auto dismount when initiating combat
-More fluid rotations. Having a rotation you need to think about is fine but right now they feel complicated for the sake of being complicated. I don't want to NEED a naga mouse or something to play efficiently. If the pay off for this would be difficulty via more complex encounter design then that's fine with the likes of me.
-Open world exploration. This is something ESO does FANTASTICALLY. Side quests, solo dungeons and treasures can be discovered. Probably not feasible in current zones but future ones maybe? Yes?
-Lord Haurchefant minion...which I think will actually be a thing. So that's good. That's quite good.
-Ability to queue for dungeons with Choco out
-Ability to talk to NPCs while mounted
