Testing on the stream Gauss is a waste of time the 30% increase is less then the auto attack procs.

Are you including the DPS increase of being able to use ricochet and gauss round? Without those two abilities it SHOULD be ~the same DPS (auto attacks add up to 20-25% of dps, with a 30% increase you end up with around 97%-104% of your non-gauss damage without including them, which is to say Gauss is likely a wash by itself).
