    They were thinking of adding such system for the duty finder so players can group with npc to do the dungeons were its hard to find other players for. But like the FC Primal feature, the developers have only said, they are thinking about it. I think aslong as they dont fixt the server memory issues, we wont see realy new things. Imagine this, they are having issues with adding more inventory space, what makes you think they able to add new companions with skills and weapon+ armour space.

    I love the suggestion, but aslong as the server memory stuff is not fixed, dont expect it.

    I wonder if they will ever fix their server limitations.

    They could resort to use the Client's side, but hey, it's an open bar for hackers.. so we are in a pinch just because of some bad apples.. sigh..

    I created a smiliar thread, so of course I vouch for this to happen!

    Hire NPC, giving them rewards in dungeons, some Gil, EXP so they lvl up and charge more for their services, it would be another gil sink for SE.

    Not only for Dungeons, for crafting airships too!

    Retainer companion is my first thought, cap them at equal to the player's level and let us gear them up appropriately, if the gear is much higher than the level if you switch classes, just decrease the stats on the gear like the system that weakens gear when you queue for a lower level dungeon.
