Why do you Play Final Fantasy XIV? What attracted you?

For me it was the sense of adventure that you can experience by playing the game, and the Conjurer class with it's elemental magic.

Years ago I hated and loved XI. Today I hate and love XIV.

basically what mog said, ffxi feel with a new feel to it. ffxi is what brought me here and what has kept me here, played for 5years 700days of gameplay and was hoping to get the same out of it. ff series brought me to ffxi as my first mmo.

ffxi party play, cut scenes and party based missions and story, full linkshell events.

what i liked at launch 15man crab grinds lol, what i like now, not much an staying to see how it pans out b4 they charging. again ffxi was what brought me an what keeps me here. other then that all those games Xatsh mentioned in his thread are sounding really good to me.

because i thought it would be all the things i liked about ff11 w/o most of the things i dislike w/ updated graphics and less of developers saying "ps2 limitations" welp we all know that didnt happen for the most part lol.
But i still play it because
1) its free
2) they are making improvements
3) I could make a character that resembled my ff11 one w/o the tail ( _ _
4) no better MMO to play right now period. RIFT(looks silly and outdated) WoW(was silly and outdated when it was released; lol toons w/ popeye arms block bodys and horrible skins on everything; the only thing impressive in wow was the water rofl.)Tera(wont be released for almost a year and thats if they dont shut down first lol)Diablo(hey RMT auction house all right; NOT!)ff11(i invested ludacris amounts of work into obtaining kenkonken/verthanga/+1 armada set and everytime there is a update my gear becomes obsolete..... thanks alot and thats why i dont play ff11 anymore.)
5) I can be a Galka/ I mean Roeg and be a mage class and not be fail at it naturally because of race stat growth limitations in ff11; though i was a damn good galka whm in ff11 just couldnt be a great blm due to lower native INT and horrible MP pool and im talking pre abyssea days lol)
6) I was duped into thinking MRD was an awesome class that delivered crushing blows and PUG could steal stuff. Im still playing ff14 trying to find the secret moogle that grants me these powers. I think his name is Woogle. Has anyone seen Woogle?! i hear he appears near the gates of Ishgard.

its truley sad that many of these "NEW" mmos out there and ones yet to be released are still so far behind in the visual/art department.

Because I loved Xi and hoped this game would be even greater than what XI was and I still hope it will be eventually.
