A large number of off center pics taken this round. I'm no judge here but that makes the pic feel like its taken from another person. kinda off for me. I don't think that is against the rules.Just makes me personally not a fan of voting for that person as often.

As what Eldaena said, someone can easily pull an off center shot on their own without needing someone else to take the shot. I, for one, did all my shots on my own. Also as Ruki said, Rongi stated to the models that sometimes it is better to have off center shots.

As Eldaena and Rina have explained, this is allowed and valid, be it if one took the shot on their own, or using another character as "camera". I have done this myself for a few, logging in on my boyfriend's laptop with my character and on my pc with his, so graphically the "camera" is consistent.
The reason for this is that aesthetically the composition of a picture can be greatly improved by having the subject off center. If you have a look at the episodes from YT cycle 1, the judges mention this rule, the rule of thirds, a lot.

It should be noted that before doing this I specifically asked for an OK from Rongi via the model Q&A chat in skype. He is the host and final word on any rules of this cycle, so you can trust that any pictures here have to have gotten his OK before final submission.

It seems my postings have flamed some anger in the community, why is this so? it is a contest of the public eye. not everyone ideas match up & show the same ideas as one another. I came here an an outsider that wished to assist in this. in the real world the modeling world is much more cruel then i have been here. If you are going to post things on the internet & ask to be judged you must take the good & the bad in account. if this effects you that much then i am sorry but the outside world is not for you. there is always gonna be that one person that looks over things & tells you how they feel & its not gonna be what u want to hear. but u can listen & see if its worth taking a step in the direction.

Hmm. Why is everyone so defensive about someone's opinion? Something that is meant to be for fun and here I see some ppl being so defensive... I feel like I am at one them beauty pageants where the ppl are always watching the contestant and soon as they are hidden behind closed door without prying eyes all their true colors come out... Some them girls could be real (B)s if u get my drift.. stop getting ur panties in a bunch guys it's one person's opinion and they way they chose to vote... It would be like saying someone not voting for someone bc their char is a male... or race specific... Just bc one person decides to actually say why they choose the ppl they choose doesn't mean u have to all be a bunch of griping brats.

I am truly sorry that we offended you or came out as defensive on this - if anything, we only want to protect our models who have done their best and put themselves out there to be judged already. Everyone within this contest is actually super nice and we try to keep everything positive, with not just the models but with the fans as well. Not liking off-centered shots is a perfectly valid reason not to vote one as your favorite! Our concern was the accusation that by having a third party camera, the contestants were breaking the rules, which is not the case. The major hard and fast rule this cycle was no photoshopping, which had been allowed in the previous YouTube Cycle. Everything else is fair game provided it fit thematically.

I am pretty sure the comment you are referring to is the one stated by Kenji well... if I read it again... He says "Which I am sure is NOT against the rules" so where in that statement at all is it an accusation of saying they are breaking a rule...It was the fact that your contestants were getting all steamed up about it. Which they shouldn't have to worry at all, if it's just one person's vote and opinion.

You are correct - perhaps a better term was the "insinuation" but even that sounds a bit too harsh. Implication? Just the fact that it was questioned at all may affect voting by other fans, which is why we are trying to remind everyone its allowed.

All we ask that that criticism be constructive so that everyone can improve their screenshots, not just the contestants.
