Yoshi P - Are We Getting Armory Chest Inventory Expansion for AF2?

To: Yoshi P & Dev Team,

We might be running into potential Armory Chest Inventory issues with the upcoming "Artifact Armor / AF 2" Gear.

Looking at the Video Preview you had for Heavensward AF 2 Gear, we'll be exclusive new sets for *every single Disciples of War & Magic *and* Crafting and Gathering Jobs*.

* Given all the AF2 Sets for every single Job / Crafting / Gathering Classes (besides any Alternate Gear pieces, Alexander Savage, Glamour, etc.), I think we might need our Armory Chest Inventory expanded?

We'll have AF2 sets for:

* Paladin
* Warrior
* Monk
* Dragoon
* Bard
* Ninja
* Summoner
* Black Mage
* White Mage
* Scholar
* Dark Knight
* Machinist
* Astrologian
* Carpenter
* Blacksmith
* Armorer
* Goldsmith
* Leatherworker
* Weaver
* Alchemist
* Culinarian
* Botanist
* Miner
* Fisher

Dude, you know we won't. HW already choked a lot of us in terms of space. Hell, I had every crafter and battle class leveled to 50 and with the new three jobs, I had ONE space left over in my weapons slot which allowed me to switch jobs...

They want us to get more retainers and they even mentioned in the Live letter that they are trying to implement a thing where you can summon all gear sets from retainers. Adding more retainers (and their inventory slots) to the game mysteriously isn't somehow worse than adding more armoury slots for us...

What I would really love is a tacklebox... somewhere for fisher that u aren't carrying 100 types of baits in your inventory... The fish take up enough space then the tackle too.. idk how many times I had to quit fishing just to unload. =/

Unless AF2 is obtained through quests, I doubt it will be.

That certainly did make me scratch my head at their choice, given the reasoning we were fed before. It's not like people were asking for a full 175 slots to be added in or something lol. A simple addition for a few armor sets to the armoire would have sufficed.

Retainers are managed on a separate server, apparently, and their inventories are called up on-demand, so the server load is quite different to adding extra slots we can use at a moment's notice and which presumably need to be backed up very frequently. There's no need to continually back up retainer inventories when they're not summoned. That said, I don't see why we couldn't have an additional free retainer if they really want to give us some more space, given that retainers are relatively lightweight.

Heck, we haven't even gotten a solid confirmation when we're even getting AF2. Its just people "thinking" its gonna be esoterics.

I'm in the same boat x.x my inventory is always filled with tackle and fish

If they increase the armory size then the servers will literally blow up according to the devs. So don't get your hopes too high.

Well unlike the standard Dev Response of "Use your Retainers (and buy more Retainers)," this will be a larger issue because these are fundamental Gear Sets for each Job/Class we want to use:

I think it'll be ridiculous if the Dev Team is expecting us to...

* Each time we Change Class / Job (Weaver, Goldsmith, Ninja, etc.), we have to see if, "oops, the entire AF2 is on my Retainer. BRB..." and have to manually pull out your Gear Set for the Classes/Jobs that didn't fit in your Armory Chest?

Seems ridiculous (Glamour I can understand if they were pushing us to dump that on Retainers), but not the "brand-new AF2 Gear Sets they're pushing."
