FYI, something has adventurers on Reddit in a panic, apparently they think that the moon has gotten closer too since the last patch...

It's probably just a new method of making the skyboxes. I don't think there were any comparison shots of the old zones' moon pre/post 3.0.1.

One thing I have noticed with regards to the sky actually, in any zone for that matter, is shooting stars... A lot... I'm sure that's something new, and it's happening all over the place... Wonder what that's about... There's certainly something going on up there...

One thing I have noticed with regards to the sky actually, in any zone for that matter, is shooting stars... A lot... I'm sure that's something new, and it's happening all over the place... Wonder what that's about... There's certainly something going on up there...

Hm.... I'm not sure I buy it. This is a cap I took between 2.55 and Heavensward. This is from the Churning Mists a few minutes ago. Granted, one is full moon and one is new moon, but they seem the same to me.

Going back to the ship, I was in the Mists watching the ship underneath the Landlord colony, and it did indeed disappear at 4AM Eorzea time. It appeared at the very north of the map. This is about as close as it got:


Right, the reason I made the post: a friend of mine said he could still see it in the north of the Churning Mists after 7:30. I couldn't, but it did sink into the clouds so maybe I just lost track of it.

Following the ship in the Sea of Clouds, I noticed that it comes way, way closer there. So, maybe the SoC will be where it first makes an actual quest appearance?

However, I'm curious as to why it sits idle beneath Asah in the Churning Mists, yet doesn't (at least not found anyway) in the other zones it appears in.

Has anyone seen it between 7.30am and 4pm? Been trying to track its movements across the entire day. I find it odd that its stationary for so long in an area of the map that it could quite easily move up into and give us access...

You noticed that glow beneath the clouds, too? I'm glad I wasn't the only one, as I thought it might have been some graphical thing with my PS3.

Not only did I notice it, but to be absolutely sure I waited for the ship to go on the flight at 4am in Churning Mists, and of course, the second it spawns the glowing outline beneath the cloud goes.
