Yea have had white mages do this for no reason. I just don't say anything and just sigh.

Not just white mages but like everyone has said it's any job with knock back. Some mobs it doesn't do it to so it's free DPS. Others you may of had a lingering one come over to the healer while healing and I'll push it back into the aoe hell fire. You just got a person who isn't aware of how annoying it could be if not used right. It's not all healers, dps or tanks fault. You get one who feels it is okay to let a scenario be created where the use of knock back attacks is freely used asap. Whether it's a WHM who wants to put out that extra DPS or DPS who thinks the same but doesn't understand once you push it out of the aoe zone it's not helpful.

I've had tanks who let one roam free and hits the dps or healer feeling they will take care of it or it will die. You can run into the aoe near the tank but sometimes situations stop you from doing so. In the end it's just a general understanding of using certain moves in situations.

As people stated most bosses are immune to the knock back, a few low level aren't and if by mistake I happen push one of those away I apologies and that's it. Otherwise I use fluid aura pretty often, to finish mobs, push back mobs to tank, or if the mobs are already near/against a wall, ect. The ability has a lot of use and can make decent damages, you just need to learn when to use it. If you get a whm that use it often the wrong way just explain it to them. I'm personally more mad at MCH who keep using it when the mob is still at 50% hp just to make more dps... >>

Not every WHM does this. >_> You probably had a newbie WHM that doesn't understand/oblivious to the problem they cause, or trolls. Most experienced WHMs won't.
Fat finger/mis-clicks don't usually count since it's unintentional and don't usually happen continuously ; p Shit happens.

Only time I use Fluid Aura is if I know something can't be knocked away and use it as extra DPS (Floor 4's forelegs/eye, primals, etc, mostly). Other than that, just for soloing. It's fairly rare for me to use it.

There's been two instances I used Blank on MCH thus far -
Another MCH aggro'd a wandering mob in the hall while a tank was running down a side shoot hall way for a treasure and I knocked it away to give the tank more time to grab it (so, in a defensive way).... and, just recently in low level dungeon, when a tank wasn't holding mobs and things were going after the healer fairly regularly.... and not being picked back up by said tank. So, after it became obvious they weren't/hadn't noticed the stray, and the healer being chewed on - I maneuvered to get an angle to the try to shoot it back to the tank, followed by Foot Graze (and hope the tank actually picks it up). Unfortunately this occurred several times... that was probably the only time I've willingly used Blank so much.

Believe me, I and many other WHMs know the pain of Fluid Aura and Blank by both observation and experience on other classes. *twitchtwitch* MNK positionals, MNK Positionals, GL stacks GL stacks *Twitchttwitch* *Flips table and strangles a particular DF'd MCH*

(Mostly to help round up casting mobs... So many tanks don't know how to LoS mobs...)


That very rare time that Fluid Aura and it's knockback are useful - I live for that. I'll turn to my SO and be like, "SEE HOW USEFUL IT IS!"... and he'll usually glare at me and remind me to remove it from my hotbar... :c

I literally use this all the time so my dps is higher. I figure... most dps are extremely greedy and eat every aoe possible or ignore mechanics just to improve dps, so why can't i?

see white mages have an aoe rotation too. What I specificslly like to do is make sure a bard plays foe req so my deeps is higher, but then again who I am kidding LOL they will never do that cause they're only concerned about themselves.

Oh, if I happen to pull aggro while dpsing Paladins if you do not cover(you know that skill that probably isn't even on half of your hot bars?) me then you have no one to blame but yourself.
