Do not thank SE for "not oversexualizing" female characters. The fact is, they are just so lazy to create separate skins of armor, so male and female have all the same skins all the way long...
You can create female skins for each armor without showing anything on females... but it requires twice more work for SE.

    No. Please, gawd, no!

Gender neutral outfits are a good thing! Creating gendered versions of every outfit just screws over half the population as one version ALWAYS turns out better than the other, not to mention not everyone of a particular sex wants to wear gendered clothing.

It you want more feminine outfits, ask for them, and let them be made for both male AND female characters!
Anything less is sexist and unfair.

Oh no, they still do it plentifully. Uncommon, but you'll still get many sets that have different designs (e.g. The Sharlayan Coats from Gubal). Other example I can include were the caster soldiery set from way back.

Most of the time there's just pieces that modify parts. Sets that have pants for males will often have skirts for females, and other sets like one of the more recent crafting sets takes a sort of vest the male has and turns it into almost a corset-like design for the females.

At the very least, we haven't seen much more of Skin Windows that encircled the AF gear for DRG and MNK. Those were some of the worst offenders as there was no redesigns involved, just cropping out a piece of the armor just to show some skin. Then again, the NIN AF unfortunately did get hit hard with cleavage on the female version, lol.
