Once, the other deaths just felt so forced that it wasn't even enjoyable. Same for 2.5...

Oh for some rason an ancient relic isn't strong enough, better kill myself...

Maybe facetanking this huge monster is a good idea, especially when full defence have worked so well...

It's the spontaneous and somewhat unexpected deaths that are depressive not those with obvious build up.

Iceheart actually did me in. I love Shiva as a Primal, and she kind of became like similar to Terra/Esper so much love. Then THAT happened and I was SO angry. ;;

B)Dude's left behind a big, dumb family in mourning and we haven't seen Unicorn or Ixion yet. Unicorn happens to be from VI, too (same as some classic eidolons as well as Ramuh, Bismarck and the Warring Triad)

Unfortunately I didn't feel Iceheart's was impactful enough. Also because just a little bit ago I saw her get stabbed in the torso without dying. We beat her with out killing her. Yet 3 shots kill her? If one hit her while in human form I would've been like "Oh, damn".

While also on the subject, why did the Twelve knights and Archbishop die when we defeated them? It makes no sense how they died after turning back to normal, but Iceheart was fine.

It may be due having their life linked to the King as the Twelve knights.

Despite being able to transform into primals they were linked to the Archbishop due to the twelve knights power being sustained by the King's energy. Their Primal form as a whole with the King and all twelve knights served as a single Primal. By become the twelve knights they have linked their own life to the King's life so if the King dies so does the twelve knights.

Another aspect that may causing their death is maybe due to not being WoL so they themselves do not have the self sustaining amount of Aether that a WoL has like Ysayle which we see when she dies is a vast amount of Aether due to how much was released on her death. Without a vast amount of Aether that a WoL has they risk their own life by transforming into Primals. Think of it like overloading a person's body limit, you gain vast amount of power to the body in a short amount of time but due to the body not being adjusted to the sudden amount of power they risk damaging it.

because white mages definitely don't get a unicorn mount at level 30.
