i did a bit of limit break damage testing.

from what i got....

melee limit break is 50% stronger then mage limit

ranged limit is 10% weaker then mage limit.

ranged limit being the weakest while everyone thought it was between melee and mage damage but its atually the weakest out of the 3

Tested with the same party 3 times in the 3rd floor of Alexander. Using each of the limits to test thier damage while getting our drops for the week.

just putting this out here XD seems everyone assumed ranged limit was stronger.

this is true. but eventually people will figure that out for themselves. never stopped obnoxious mages from limiting even if a melee was there.

I only use the LB if there is no melee to use theirs.

really the only real use for ranged limit is for aoe if there is no mage present or if the 2 targets your trying to hit are sooooooo far apart that you need the ranged limit to hit both (which is rare because mage limit is pretty huge)


on top of the mage limit being easier to aim since you do not need to adjust your character to line up the targets.

It's easier to hit more targets with the mage LB, so why does it do more damage than the narrow ranged LB? That honestly makes no sense to me.

You know. I was thinking this myself this morning. Used limit on my mch. Just kinda felt like it did less than even mage lb. Was like. Nah. There's no way..........

Why the heck would they make it weaker? Seriously what's the point? So now instead of the heal lb we have the dont use it unless there are only bard/mch Dps in Grp lb? Le sigh.

Last I knew it was based on weapon damage and your level and BRD/MCH have the lowest weapon damage in the game by quite a large margin.

It really could do with being slighty increased imo.

Dex ranged are just getting screwed over atm it seems.
